Great work Jah and love! Really pretty red color from love. I guess jah, yours is pure Panama and the ACE version is x Colombian? Killer main cola jah.

I am waiting to flower mine, the LED is keeping them so short, bout a month of veg so far. Want them at 8 inches so 3x stretch puts them at 2 feet finished.

Thanks guys!

_whiteroom_: Sounds like a cool trip! Colombia probably isn't the safest destination for seed hunting so remember to be careful though! Anyway, have you checked out this thread about Colombian strains: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=165788. If not, you should. It's a fascinating read!

jahgreenlabel: Looks like you're getting a nice yield there, good job!

Took a photo of some lower buds of my red Panama. Looks like a heart, fits my avatar lol.

And here's a picture of another Panama. She didn't get the colors but instead foxtailed beautifully:

Also at 8 weeks of flowering. Although just to be clear I should say that means 8 weeks after I first noticed pistils, not after 8 weeks of 12/12.

Both girls smell sweet.

the panama Ace / Cannabiogen is not crossed with the punto rojo!
Following extensive discussions with Kaiki (breeder of Panama) it is apparent that this information was false!

The panama is composed of 25% of Panama Red 1974 and 75% of Panama red hair

quote kaiki About Panama Red 1974 and the Panama
the Panama ACE contains 25% of the panama 1974. We did not cross the Colombian Punto Rojo, but with another panama, which I thought was closest to the Panama Red Hair and red lines earlier from the area of Central America.
I had the opportunity to chat long and hard about this subject with my friend Greengrocer and we got both this conclusion, which I think is the fairest. The Punto Rojo is a different story, although there are commonalities between the red varieties.

very nice love ,beautiful colors;)

best vibes

Thank you for your kind words jahgreenlabel and one Q! Oh and best of luck with the plants one Q! How are they doing?

The girls are now almost dry but first I must apologize about earlier as I must have been tripping; just checked the dates and it seems like they flowered 10 weeks (from after pistils appeared) which is about the same as before.

Took a sample nug. It's from the red pheno, which unfortunately doesn't really look very red anymore but besides that, wow:

The bud smells like wild strawberries. It's not a new smell to me in cannabis but don't remember having dry buds that smell so strongly of it before. I'm very fond of the smell which reminds me of childhood summers. Hope it doesn't disappear with the cure like sometimes happens to smells.

Really potent. Smoked two hits with a bong and it hit me straight in the head. I'm feelling umm, "wavy", with the waves' frequency being altered by the music I'm listening to. If that makes any sense; might sound kinda far out I guess but I'm not feeling "out of it", my cognitive abilities seem good.

Quite smooth but a big hit did make me cough. Great strong "marijuana" taste when inhaled, a sweeter taste on exhale and as the aftertaste.

As a word of warning though, even though the bud didn't end up being very red, two things that surely did are my eyes. Totally bloodshot from those two bong hits. :D

I've said it before but I'll say it again; Panama is awesome! Thank you charlie garcia and ACE Seeds for this strain!

Eagerly waiting to try out Bangi Haze for the first time but still need to wait a few weeks for that.

Great looking shots love? I hope my plants look half as good, gonna flower em in 2 weeks. Sounds like the smoke is mellow and trippy, a great combo.

Also glad to hear the genetics are all Panama, altho the Colombian is likely a close relative anyways.

Do you think your panama line would finish at 35N on the east coast US? This year I was able to grow until Nov 1.

thanks!

Welcome angustotse,

Of course, you can finish panama at 35N in a coastal climate, we have tried her many times in northern than 37-43N in coastal and continental climate. Panama finishes around 2nd-3rd week of October at your latitude.

Let us know if you have any other doubt! Best wishes dubi

Hello yesum,

Charlie's description posted by jahgreenlabel is the more accurate. You can find tons of info about ace/cbg panama genetics in this thread.

Im glad to hear you are about to flower panama with LED's, honestly we dont flower with LEDS, but mixing LEDS and HPS would be great.

Good luck! Let us know if you have any doubt.

Great work love :)

It's a pleasure to know you are still growing and harvesting panama! Impressive pics!

You are right, panama is very powerful and aroma is real strong for a pure sativa. Strawberries aromas are not the most frequent in the line: usually lemony, woody incensey but sweet strawberry aromas can also be found.

Thanks for share your positive experience. Best wishes! :tiphat:

Feminized Panama - more green or red phenos?

Feminized Panama - more green or red phenos?

I was wondering, if the original regular had a somekind of a ratio between these two, what has happened to it in the feminization process?

Out of 5 feminized Panama seeds - what should I expect? Many green ones like 3-4 and maybe 1-2 red phenos?

What have you people got out of feminized Panamas?

Panama

I grew Panama this last winter. It was very good smoke. I grew about 20 different hazes and Sativas in that run. I did keep a green pheno of Panama. It was marked as standard seeds, not fem.
I kept clones of 1 Panama plant, and here it is, 5 minutes ago outdoors. I usually tie my plants down, but am considering letting it grow straight up. I have about 12-15 feet of cover on 3 sides of it, but its not in the sunniest spot.

I love to see more panama growing outdoors Dr Purpur ;) Thanks for posting!

Leaf trait is classic panama, if she receives at least 5-6 hours of straight light then im sure she will be a almost a tree in 1 month.

How do you compare panama with the haze hybrids you grew past season ?

Best wishes!

She'll steal your woman,
then She'll rob your head...

My outdoor Panama plant is at about 6 feet tall now. She is just starting to take off. Not very bushy yet, but She will be. I have enough cover to let her grow straight up, and thats just what I plan on doing. 12-14 feet should be ok in that spot. Shes in a 200 gallon hole.

Panama green pheno

We just passed 7 foot 7 inches this morning. Ill snap a pic later this week. She hasnt started budding yet, and Im glad. I have room for about 14 feet tall if she wants. She makes very Hazy sweet tasting buds. Top quality, and not fluffy buds at all. A very nice density. The flavor is great and the High kicks ass. Real sweet bud. Everyone is impressed with it that gets a chance to smoke it.
