Hello there.
My Panama x Malawi chopped in two parts.
The first one was a week after my last updated and the second a week since the first.
At first i chopped the top's 30 cm or so, couse i was afraid bud rot... because the weather became very rainy...and the top was so dense...
The scent was more earthy and woody/oily with a background of something minty and fresh.
I am not a specialist to describe aromas and all.
The smoke from the first toke some days after chop was great.
And was my best smoke for years - without any curing -, till Zamaldelica started shining after one and a half months of curing.
After a month into the jars PxM is totally a different animal  and the only one which can send me :skiiing: after only one hit...
...Magical moments ahead...

I think this has arrived at harvest time. Almost zero new white pistils emerging and all the rest are now red/brown color. Strong Panama dominant aroma. As a feminized seed I think it was planted in my second round of starts in mid April and now finishing on October 20. Looking forward to seeing how it smokes.

Congrats on your Panama x Malawi harvest, musigny23 :tiphat:

Harvest a sativa of this caliber on the 3rd week of October (like Panama usually does around 37ºN latitude) it's really a good thing. Growers have rated this limited edition among the best sativas we have ever released so hope you also enjoy her a lot! :)

Congrats also on your harvest Conso :)

Your Panama x Malawi didn't have the best flower/leaf ratio, but the resin production is outstanding, she is definitely more a Malawi Killer pheno.

Glad she hits strong and high :D Enjoy her and Zamaldelica too!

Hi NCali,

Since Malawi x Panama is already available in regular format, it has not been a priority to produce a regular version of Panama x Malawi, although it can be done in the future ;)

This was my first try with a 100% Sativa and in general I am not that experienced yet.
She grew way taller than I expected, I had to bend her real hard and she still grew over all the other plants. Also had ph issues, this seems to be more problematic with sativas? The Indicas before that did not care that much. But I figured out weeks ago that my water has a too high ph and now that i fixed it all plants look way better.
One of the Panama I had just got brown leaves very quickly and didnt produce much. The other was more tolerant and produced nicely, you can see her in the pictures. But I also had a Spider Mites problem which only got worse with the long flowering time.
Made some insane wax/oil out of the plant because many buds had mites in them.

Anyway the high is quite strong and the effects were long, smoked in the morning I could feel it all day. Could not study or concentrate that good on this strain as it lets the mind travel, but for enjoying your free time or activities it is nice!
Smell and taste is incredible, sweet organic lemon flavour with incense, abit hazy, hard to describe but really special.
Good Strain! :)

Panamal Report

Panamal Report

This strain has been my daily driver since it was harvested about three months ago. I've been vaping it in either a Vapcap or a Sticky Brick Hydro rig and getting through about 1g a day and absolutely love this unique, cheery strain.

Panama x Malawi (Panamal) is a gentle sativa without any raciness or paranoia which tastes/smells a bit like raisins, strawberries, morning leaves rotting in the autumn and encourages daydreaming and positive thoughts while being physically relaxing and calming. The high lasts a long time, is extremely satisfying, has a high ceiling and is slow to build up a tolerance. A single vapcap was able to get me very happily buzzed until recently when I blew my tolerance. It's helped a lot with depression and anxiety through these winter months and has impressed everyone who has tried it.

I'd describe the high as relatively clear though there is a dreamyness to everything that can make responding to questions take a little longer. It doesn't make you stupid and I probably wouldn't describe it as motivating. It's easy to sit down and get very comfortable but your brain is quite able to do complex tasks. It's also a great strain to carry on smoking without any unpleasant effects - just getting more high and red eyed but never anxious.

Compared to the Panama x Bangi that I also grew, the PanaMal was a stronger, cloudier high with more random thoughts as opposed to Pangi's clear but dreamy high. Both have been great strains but the Panamal just tops it for me.

Grown in coco in a 600w tent under HPS using blumats and Canna nutes, the Panamal were flowered at 4wks and cut at 12 weeks. As you can see from the blurry tent pic, it was very crowded in there with 2 Panamal and 2 Pangis. The stretch was hard to control but there was no budrot or any real problems with them - very vigorous strain - just expect the stretch to last a while. In future I'll plan better access all around the grow to keep an eye on the colas and manipulate them better. The buds do look a bit hairy but it doesn't feel like early harvested weed at all. No idea of the weight of the final harvest but I'm going to be happy for at least another 12 months.

Highly recommended strain. Especially for those who have gotten bored of weed - this stuff is fun!

Lovely bud shots my friend nice post.

Thanks man. The cob of this is what blew my tolerance. It's still ageing nicely and producing some very pleasant effects. Will be testing the Panama x Bangi cob soon too.

Hi StrongTree,

Seems the flower top in the first pic of your latest post is trying to ripe quite fast, most probably due to cold temps in flowering. The lower parts of the plant seem look like still want to reflower, so try to provide her constant warm temps, a good PK feeding regime and hopefully she will continue producing new reflowerins to finally produce a bigger yield.

Hi Kijell,

organic, lemony and incensey ... you really described and summed up perfectly the more relevant terpene details coming from Panama Goddess parental plant used in this hybrid ;)

It's easier that sativas with longer flowering times could have a ph and feeding inbalance when grown in small pots so it's important to keep constantly the ph and feeding in the correct range though the whole flowering, otherwise you will experience the problems you are reporting.

Anyway, glad you are enjoying with her potency, effects and terpenes :)

Hi b8man :)

Thanks a lot for your positive feedback! Those colas before harvest look impressive, and the harvested buds so yummy :yummy:

So happy to hear Panama x Malawi is providing you with great sativa experiences and with psychological relief in the cold winter.

Malawi x Panama, Panama x Malawi and Panama x Bangi Haze are all pure sativa F1s of the highest order, every single seed coming from these super sativas will always produce great results, but remarkable/outstanding plants can also be easily found even when working with small populations. Keep enjoying them! ;)
