I found this artist today.
Colin Batty...Very cool Basil Wolvertoon pieces he did.
He also worked on Mars Attack, the movie written by TIm Burton.
That movie is loosley based off a 1950's sci-fi movie called Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers.
There you will find the master work of special effects artist and early pioneer, Ray Harry Hausen.

i have had a pretty long artist block.
I think its over. I hope its over.
Its like im a sculpture trapped in a painters body.
its been a struggle my entire life.
I did some sketches today of Basil Wolvertoons drawings in preparation for a ceramic class I am going to start. They turned out really good. It was my approach to drawing them.
I was thinking about every form and space as seperate entity, just peices of clay..
i drew as if I were sculpting them from clay. I wasnt thinkin about a finished drawing, but after I was done filling in the paper i stepped back and really impressed myself with how well i drew the caracters.... It was all in the mind set and approach i took, kinda letting my guard down and really getting absorbed.

This clay piece I just finished painting. It is inspired by artist, Basil Wolverton, one of his characters called HEAP. Sorry the image would not transfer into my album in an upright position.

That's pretty awesome. The thin hairs/tendrils must have been a PITA.
