Still, OJ's off the hook, because in America, once you're acquitted, you're acquitted for good.
If a trial is simply botched, or if new crucial elements appear that justifies a re-trial, that should be possible.
That way, OJ would have been re-trialed and condemned for the crime he did commit.
Fucking him over on a minor charge (and nobody cares whether he did it or not, but everyone cares about what he did back then) simply smells bad, it's not the way the legal system should work.

Both of the persons that O.J was charged with kidnapping testified in open court that they did not feel as though O.J had kidnapped them. While acknowledgin that he did pull a gun on them and take their property, neither felt that it was appropriate to charge O.J. with kidnapping. He was found guilty of kidnapping.
