Nice looking system. I'm probably going to a NFT system for my next round. It Will be a much much larger setting so need something with less media cost.
Update
gave some epsom salts today to try to green up my sour d's Rocket... they seem to be fine with the 2.6ish ec on lucas ratio
hope you get your plants diet dialed in
main roots are ripping the netpots apart
and seem to be matting up nicely
i think ill get new lids for my next run and put small holes in the lids to keep more humidity in the tracks
still no res change
Looking excellent there Ogenko , thats some mass of roots they have produced . things are going that well i dont know what to write apart from "keep it up" .
Looking great man. I'm going to see the details on my large scale NFT today. Sadly, I probably wont be able to have any cameras in the new spot. I'd love to see ur ladies at the end of flowering. Keep those pics coming.
would love to see a big scale nft greenthumb
fonzee. you are right. the screen isnt full enough
the afgoo plants stayed short and squat
i think this is par for this strain from what i have been able to find on it
i could have fit 9 under each light for a nicer canapy
but i got the med limit im trying to comply with
maybe i could have spread them out more if i would have topped them early on
system is running smooth so far and im hoping it keeps going that way
i've made it past the half way mark
i think i overjuiced them a little.
i went up to 2.8 ec and my ph was staying low in the 5.1 range
so i dumped 6 gallons of solution and replaced with Tap water
closest thing i've done to a res change
now im riding at 5.7 is ph and back down to c.2.0 to 2.1 ec
if i make it through this run (please please please)
i will do some experimentation with flow rates
one channel will have a river and the other will have a trickle
peeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaccccccccccccccceeeeeeee
Hi Ogenko
Your plants look fantastic looks like you'll finnish the grow no problem .
Now thats interesting about the flow rate ...i start off with a little trickle then as the roots develop increase the flow rate to suit . i never let the water pool as it doesnt hold oxygen for long and the plants suffer badly in my experience.
A gradient of 1 in 40 is the peferred to stop pooling.i use spreader mat as it helps the roots to more oxygen and it creates a nice root mat .
thanks for the uplifting words fellas
they ain't perfect' but they aint to shabby either
sour ds are extremely yellow
i may have had my pH a tad low; not quite sure
changed out most of my res today for the first time
had some mold in my flora bloom bottle so jumped over to the maxibloom kiss formula
hope i dont shock the ladies too much
my Afgoos should be about half way done now
a little more time for the sour d's i suspect
6 weeks
i think Afgoo is an 8 weeker
sour d will be a bit longer
i wish i had some blueberry pollen to impregnate some of this afgoo
switched to KISS 2 weeks ago
the plants responded well and my yellowing issue became past tense
after 2 weeks of topping off with RO, they are praying for Mag again
so they will get a fresh res
thanks man
yeah the afgoos dont have the highest callyx/leaf ratio and they are stickier than nato (japanese fermented sticky beans....mmmmmmmmmm)
ill find out in a couple more weeks
the smell from them is sickly sweet.some kinda candy sugar overload
the sour d's look like easy trimming
long streched out colas with a few fan leaves sticking out the side
peeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccceeeeeeee
