odor question, open setup...

Alright first, my setup is very uncreative, almost so that I hope I don't get flamed for posting it here. This was my first grow so I decieded to do it in an Aerogarden Deluxe that my friend gave me, as I figured it was pretty much idiot proof. Right now its set up in my bedroom on a pedastool situated behind my dresser out of site.

My problem is this; I am growing 2 feminized lowryder #2 plants in this and it is starting to stink a little bit, Since it is not inclosed I can very well hook up a carbon scrubber or anything of the like, so what would be my best option? I live with 3 other people and it cant be crazy loud, I was looking at a febreze True Air which is a plug in deal with a small carbon filter and scent, or a timed ozium mister,a vaportronik, and ona pro gel with the dispensing fan... Which one of these or combination would be the best. Its only two plants so I cant imagine I would need a ton of control.

An enclose that will contain the fragrance is highly recommended if not essential. The pungent smell of flowering cannabis travels well and must be neutralized.

I suggest you fork out some money for equipment or start making it yourself as the smell is only going to get worse. Your hobby can be very cheap if you do most of the work and save on everything.

A plug in air freshener is not going to mask the smell good enough so carbon filtering is what i suggest.

I have smelled plants 80 yards away before, and they were enclosed.

Were they properly filtered? Just because you stick a box around them doesn't mean it'll control the odor. Every material is porous and permeable, so unless you have some sort of filtration in effect, it wont stop smells or anything.

make a filter and enclose it..

make a filter and enclose it..

I would at least make a small carbon filter and enclose the plants in some way.... even a big cardboard box would help if you can make the exhaust well enough.... without the exhaust, like they said, it will stink even if a case of fabreeze exploded in your room....you would still smell skunk, with perfume in that case.... again, maike the carbon filter some howwhether it bed from a tash basket, pencil holder, food container..... even ghetto rig a fan it it tightly.... carbon can be found online, hyrdo stores, and in some pet stored in aquarium sections.... Good Luck!!!

:laughing::laughing:Ghetto i know, security is #1 always!!:laughing::laughing::fsu:

No they were not filtered, but still just saying. If he doesn't filter them it will go a long ways. Heres mine
