im just really doing a flower one, since its the first week of flowering.
with some N, for the stretch.
i am going to try the fungal tea in this thread.
how you let it sit out for several days to culture some mycelium
and then brew it, i like the idea of a two step tea.
that should eliminate the bacterial dominating the fungal count in my tea's.
and i got time to experiment now that my problems are gone!!!

xmobotx--

i got some veggies and pepper and herb sprouts going.
they are pretty much at the cotyledons stage.
i was thinking about growing some of them in coco.
as ive never used this medium.
any advice? any experience with coco?

hey, i m just learning w/ coco myself

i broke up 2 of the bricks so far (in my OBBT)
and i have used about the top 1/4 of my bag of royal gold

so far, every time any roots get into the stuff, i have probz

the OBBT starts strong and grinds to a halt
my cuttings in coco were doing good till they started to root

so, rinsed/unrinsed amended/unamended - idk what the prob is and i m not giving up (i want to like coco) but i havent even come close to figuring it out

its not peat

latest effort (and i m still 'cooking' the mix) i mixed some dolo lime and the amendments @ 1 TBS/gal of coco, let that sit damp for 1 day, then put too much water in w/ a aquarium stone for about 8 hrs, drained that excess off (like a flush) and now it's been about 3 days (running 10% perlite) -mixing 2-3x day at every stage

seedlings will go into this (unfortunately based on the sdlng not the mix's cook time) and I'll see if this helps (i may try w/ 1 seedling for a couple days to see what happens before the flat goes in)

trying to kind of "pre-condition" the mix w/ something of a rinse/osmotic mix component

wow, i will have to try that myself. as you know, i m a proponent of compost and ewc teas. much like the coco though, i am curious and learning about the fungus/bacteria ratios and how to implement that too.

you're doing that last recipe right? (as you mentioned the oatmeal)

its going to be awesome when your plant is putting on weight

Hey did you fix your deficiency problem? Well I was having a similar reaction and went back to my cannabis grow book and found out that it was various problems affecting the health of the plant. So I transplanted to a new container, and made a coco coir and organic premixed soil, half and half basically. Then I applied some jamaican bat guano (good for blooming and overall health) to the bottom of each pot mixed with the soil on the bottom, and in the middle I dropped more soil with some mexican bat guano (excellent for vegging stage and health). On the top of the pots I dropped some more soil and placed the babies on that top with more soil to cover the base of the plant. Some plain water and I do my transplanting late in the evening or on overcast or rainy days. THey never suffer shock if you do this, and if you transplant for an indoor, dont take them indoor right after the transplant. One more thing I found is that epsom salts is a miracle not only for feet but for roots. My big girl was having problems with nutes being locked due to acidic ph. So a little epsom salt diluted in some warm water and allow for a little cooling and apply to the base, straight on roots. This allows for unlocking of the nutrients your plants may need. YOu see your plant probably has everything it needs, is just lacking one thing to be able to consume it all. Plus epsom salt with warm water will allow for pores to open in your roots and consume nutrient more efficiently. Anyway I go on for long if you allow me, you may pm me anytime and send me pics and I can look it up on the good book and help you. good luck.
