I have heard often on these pages that "Coco Coir is not soil" but do not understand what that means. I know it is old Cocoanut husks.

Soil is ammended with nutrients...coco is not.

The main reason people use the phrase "coco is not soil" is so soil people will get over their ideas that bigger pots are better and you can water every few days.
