Agree with everything you said except that. I'd say the dome is necessary for at least 3-5 days unless your rh. is really high or you wanna keep spraying them at least twice a day.

Nope.... Ive used a number of mediums include rapid rooters.....
Small clones probably wouldnt need a dome at all....
His clones have some size...so one day may be necessary so they dont wild......
My cloner is a 3 inch pvc and vermiculite and I never ever spray them.....they just sit in a half inch of water.....
The clones may wilt initially after cutting.....
Soon after they adjust to their new reality and unless the clones are quite big need neither spraying nor a dome....
I at one time used rapid rooters.... but found that fine vermiculite works just as well for a fraction of the cost......
That tray on page one....would buy me a small bag of vermiculite at Lowes....which would last for a year.....
