Both the New Hampshire Senate and House of Representatives passed a bill to legalize the growing and distribution of medical cannabis to people with critical and terminal diseases. Three dispensaries or "compassion centers" will be allowed to grow and distribute the marijuana in the state.

Governor John Lynch will have five days to sign it into law or it will automatically become law after that period.

The Senate approved the bill by a 14-10 vote — nearly split along party lines, with only one Democrat voting against the bill and one Republican voting in favor.

It seems like it is this way more often than not, split on party lines, with Democrats for and Republicans against.

Why do Republicans hate sick people? Seems strange, Republicans get sick too.

Great to hear about NH!!!

stink.whistler - why does the democrat who voted against the bill hate sick people? Seems strange, Democrats get sick too.

Dunno, maybe a sick person killed his dog? But I agree, it is strange.

God told them to. Seems to afflict Republicans more than Democrats, but it catches both parties. Democrats are different all over, east, west, midwest, south, whatever it takes to get power. Both parties suck on cannabis policy.

Live free or die, New Hampshire! I wouldn't call this really, really, free, but it's more free than before for a lot of deserving people. Good luck.
