New grower need some advice on media and nutes

Okay I am brand new just got my licence and am going to grow in soil or soilless like coco or what not but need some advice on the easiest most reliable ways to go.

My first thought was to try promix or miracle gro potting mix and use something like miracle grow 25-10-10 veg and 15-30-15 for flower but not sure if these would be overkill or underkill or if there is a better way to go so ill give you my grow area size and lights etc and would like suggestions on what media and a simple nute schedule you would use so i can check out what it will cost me and go from there/

Room is 9' x 7' x 7' only going to use 5 x 7 of it so 35 square feet floor space. For my Light I have a 1000w MH/hps swichable ballast with a sun master II 6" air cooled reflector exhaust for room and reflector a 350cfm vortex inline fan with a DIY carbon filter that I got instructions for off this site. In the grow room there is also a 2' 4" x 30" x 7'h closet with shelves dividing it in half so I can use it as a mother room slash clone/seed propogation room. with a 125w cfl 6500k brightwing reflector and I have build a DIY bubble cloner. SO anyways this is what I have to work with just need some first hand info on what would be the easiest media/nute schedule to use to get good yield ,quality and low maintenance problems.

Oh if knowing the strains that I have will help with figuring out the best way to go here they are White widow, Himalayain gold, super silver haze.Northern lights, Nevilles Haze, cinnamon, grapefruit,ak 48, jack herer and venus flytrap all are feminized and just dont want to start them till I have the infro I need not to ruin them.

So please all you Soil growers let me know what you think so i can get these beans on the go before the end of the weekend.

Well the easiest way to go would be Coco and using the Head/Rez recipe with General Hydroponics Micro and Bloom (and Kool Bloom powder if you want)

Rince your Coco before using it...

6ml of Micro and 9ml of Bloom per gallon ph'd to 5.8-6.0...

Use every 1-2 days with a small amount of runoff (~10%)...

Dont let your Coco get too dry... Its almost impossible to overwater with Coco...

Its really pretty much idiot proof and very cheap... and works exceptionally well

Good luck watever you choose to do... Welcome to the wonderful world of growing!

Blessings

I have been very happy with my Roots Organics soil with the exception of the fungus gnats it seems to come with but they are easily dispatched. Many soil people here seem to be happy with the Fox Farms line of soil.

I plan to switch to bubble buckets because I feel in the long run that it will be easier to maintain but it does require more money to get into than soil and using the Lucas formula it can be simple also.

I am just newb on my first grow so take it all with a grain or two of salt.

I went with and ebb and flow hydro for my first grow..
And that was hella lot of work!!
For my second run i switched to biobizz allmix soil, works very good!!
Have vegged plants for 3w with only ph`d water, and they look much better than my hydro run:)

im using bio canna (soil & nutes) 1st time using the soil used the nutes on past grows, so far so good,

like cottonmouth the soil came with fungus gnats, 15 pounds a bag i think this is very bad, sort it out canna!!!

saying that the soil is great, use right out the bag no need to add perlite. it takes about 5-6 days to dry out thou. didnt add any nutes at all while in veg as it has fish meal & guano in already, my plants grew fine with just ph'd water

Roots Organics, FoxFarm´s Ocean Forest or you could make your own for just a few dollars.

You could buy just about all of it at Lowes and Home Depot and get more for your money.

i use a organic coco mix i threw together its about 60% built soil and 40% coco. the soils comprised of worm castings, bat and seabird guano, humic/fulvic additives and other beneficials. it works great for me. the key is letting it sit for at least a week so your beneficials can start feeding and providing nutes. the bat guano is also really important!!!
