Well, how attached to scrogging are you? As it poses problems for those of us who use CFLs.
Closer is better, it will make the most of your light, and for me it seems to promote closer noding. And since you need the light as close as possible, having to keep them under a screen can be problematic. Some solutions;
Lower your lights nearer the screen, however you will have to move them up later in flowering when you stop tucking branches under.
Mobile screen. Mount your screen to the container. That way you can still use things to prop up the container closer to the lights, and the screen will move with the plant.
Third, bail on scrog, and go with LST. It will still improve yield in a small space, and can help you maximize your space/light. Tie it down sideways, so you can train it to grow along the length of you container. Side branches will act more like main branches all the way, and with topping you can widen the plant further.
So instead of looking like this in a screen
