my first indoor grow

I will definitely build the box. I was looking into speed controllers. But I don't want to reduce the life or burn out my inline. Sound reduction seems to be a better choice.

the build in speed controllers should not do much harm to the motor if run properly

the cheap dimmers you put right before the power source hurts the motors a little more

the motor is pretty easy to get silent, the ducting and airflow is the tricky part

Your right the ducting is the problem. I have some shit ducting. Your standard ducting, nothing special. It would probably kill ALOT of noise if I were able to set the inline in a box like you have pictured and on the exhaust side of the inline have PVC pipe hooked up. I bet that plastic would damn near kill all the noise. What do you think?

yeah, as straight ducting as possible without many curves, pipes bigger than the exhaust of the fan, + a smooth inner surface, maybe even some isolation inside the ducting and maybe a small silencer at the end

a good combination of these could make it 90-100 % silent

Damn that EC refuses to come down. If you were still in veg stage I would tell you to just PH adjust a bunch of water and keep watering until the EC drops down. But your in flower, your plants look good, its not worth the risk now that your in flower. I wouldn't do anything to shock your plants or cause them to go hermy on you.

Your PH coming out looks damn good. Watering 6.5 in and getting 6.1-6.6 coming out. I would be very happy with that. I have 6.2-6.3 going in and 6.7 coming out. I guess thats not terrible but still....I want that 6.5 runoff lol.

yeah its sick, i don't know what to think cause they look so healthy and is growing good atm

i just read some around, some say that pure organics doesn't change the ec the same way chems do, others say there is no need to check ec readings when using biobizz, prolly for the same reason

i noticed that bio heaven is extremely strong on the ec, next time ill try make a mix without heaven in it and see what reading it makes, if its just bio heaven thats making the big numbers alone then i might be fine

if there still isn't no sign of burn in the next couple days ill just continue to feed them with 50-75 % strenght

hey, welcome to the site :)

you need to go back to "forums" then "grow it" then "indoor grow - hydro" and make a thread there

So BioBizz wont give the same runoff readings as a traditional fertilizer because BioBizz is more "organic"

That would sure explain your super high readings and no burn at all!

thats what people are saying on different forums, i haven't seen anything that confirms it tho

but yeah it sounds reasonable, if i went ec 4.7 in hydro with chems i would prolly burn the shit out of them

i just picked up my clone set and a new cfl bulb for my new mother/veg room, gonna build it tomorrow, might make a few clones tonight, cant wait to get going :)

its day 47 and 11 days into 12/12, not sure if this stage is budding or preflower, but all the shoots is starting to get really covered in pistils and it seems that oval flowers are starting to form inside all the shoots :) i only saw some full grows with days or weeks between each sight, so im not familiar with the whole cycle of this amazing plant

Looking real nice. The greenhouse cover you have, I have the same one. Must be a European Design. I have the ones from the states and the ones from over here.

they are starting to drink alot, they are thirsty every 2-3 days now, gave them some clean water again

i fixed my new room and took some clones, not sure if i done it right, every guide is telling it different

i disinfected everything, then i soaked the cubes in ph 5.7 water and a few drops of root juice / bio grow / algamic for an hour

cut at 45 angle, took of the lower branches, trimmed ½ of the big leafs, dipped in root activator, and then into the cubes, then finally i misted everything and put on the dome

gonna be interesting to see how it ends, still got 6 seeds left, so i might pop them and look for 2 new moms that hasn't been in flowering first, then i could train from early on, and just in general give them better conditions with my improved knowledge :)

Looking good lulzz! I watered today with the week 4 feeding chart. Used RO water. Came out to 1.8 EC. I PH adjusted to 6.5.

I broke one of the lower branches. Where it meets the stem I broke it half way off from the stem. I propped the branch up so its against the stem I hope it heals itself. We will see. This was a test grow. The seed was a freebie. No worries about it. Worse case scenario I could harvest the whole plant, take clones, flip to 12/12 and call it a day. Do a little SOG in my tent.

thx mate

sound good, it will surely pick up on the grow now

dont worry about the broken branch, just tie it back as it was before and let it be there until it fixes it

my friend broke one topshoot ½ of the main stem yesterday, i tied it back im position and today it looks great, it got 100 % grip again and its still growing

Hey lulzz, Need updates! :)

My branch is braced against the main stem, I wanted to use tape or string or rope to secure it to the main branch, but with my plant so short and bushy, I will do more damage to the plant trying to tie the broken stem to the main stalk. Right now the branch and its leaves are wilted and looking like shit, If its not better in another few days I will remove it and try to clone it.

so it finally came, my biggest plant that i fed 3-4 times more than the others and had a ec of 4.7 last runoff has started some defiencys, i think its a mix of zink/boron + something more

growth seems a bit stunted, all the new growth looks too thin and small, and 3-4 leafs got what looks like burn'd tips, also 80 % of the leafs tips is hooking down, i know it aint my ph cause its been steady at 6.5

to start with the ec was 3.7, i flushed it with 6-7 gallons of plain ec 1.0 ph 6.5 water, i got the ec down to 1.8, then i mixed 2 ml root juice / 1.5 ml top max / 3 ml bio heaven / 3 ml bio grow / 2 ml bio bloom at an ec of 2.0, added that after flushing and runoff came out at 1.8 again

the yellow tips has been like that for 2 days, so its not something that is spreading fast, it came over night and has stayed the same since

many of the leafs on my other plants is making that same hook now, guess i have to flush em all tomorrow

do anyone have an idea what it could be?
