My first grow/jounal (MK-Ultra!)

I grew MK a little over 2 years ago and had 2 clearly different phenos. One was full of very light green nugs that were golf-ball sized and sticky as hell. The yield was weak, but the quality was top notch. The other pheno had beer bottle sized nugs and yielded more than double the other, but wasnt quite as good smoke. Still real good though. I flowered both for 65-70 days. The smaller one probably could have went a little longer.

Does your MK resemble either of these.

The cut we both are running def seems to lean towards the golf-ball sized OG pheno. Leaf and growth pattern look to have come from the G-13 poppa, but the resin and flavor are all OG. Exactly what you want from a hybrid. Smell is just a pure lemon fuel poop funk, its really fucking awesome and i def think it will translate right over to flavor, when properly dried.

I know a lot of people that grew this strain said that there was a rediculus amount of variation when grown from seed. I think we really got lucky with the pheno we were gifted. Mine are at day 57 right now, snipped off a couple early buds last night. But Mine will prolly run between 65-70 days. Shes foxtailing right now and getting fatter by the day. Ill put some shots up of her in here soon..

....Guess who's back? Hope everyone had a good week!
It was a great week away, but I'm real happy to be getting back to the room. The ladies are getting bushy and stinky.

Its pretty crowded in there under just 1k HPS and a Magnum xxxl hood. Hoping to get some bills out of the way so the second 1k light can be installed soon. It's kind of frustrating sometimes getting work done in a really cramped garden so I didn't get many pics. I'll get more in a few days when I move and rotate the plants. For now, here's some flower porn. (Shame on you, they're young!)

N. Kron - I've said it before and I'll say it again. MK is what's up. Definitely lucky to have this phenotype. Its so fun to get back and see what happened in there after a week, but I do also love to see them every day! Take care bro.

You're killing it with the MK Kronic! I will be letting mine go 63-65 next time around. I really like the effects of the last round's smoke even though I was total noob'd with the koolbloom and other additives. Feel free to post more pics anytime buddy, or better yet, let me borrow your camera.

Update for 3/15/11
Starting to stink in here! The room has decidedly become a perpetual, and young plants are going to be added every few weeks. The crowd in here is of all sizes, shapes and statures. Some smaller (but stocky as hell) bushes that have been LST'd are in there. I'll get some good pictures of them next time I'm feeding and rotating the plants. I've got a very versatile cut! After this run I might have an idea which technique will yield the most.

This one is a shorter, thicker plant that is flowering up very nicely.

Pretty soon I'll need to get some stakes to hold up my bushes! The taller ones in the room had been in veg for a month prior to the entire flowering period of its mother plant. They got pretty lanky!

Getting close to adding a second light, the bushes are starting to really shade each other out in this spot and I want to let them have their space as well as some new roommates. These MK Ultras are really starting to frost up and exude that pungent limey scent. Really looking forward to watching them swell up as the days go by! Here we go:

I think I forgot to mention the California Hashplant freebie that I had veg'd for 3 months along with the MKs. She's filling up very quickly and smells like fruit. I know she isn't supposed to be a very potent strain but a tasty smoke for working in the lab is very welcome over here!

Due to a light leak that was unnoticed, we have some beans here and there... hitting the bay soon LOL . Other than that, things are looking pretty nice. The leak has been sealed and next round will not have the same problem. The MKs only have a few seeds, but that Fem'd cali hashplant got hit hard. Not sure what to chalk that up to; unstable hermie genetics, or just photosensitivity? Anyway, here are some recent photos:

Update 4/11/11:

Flush started 3 days ago, and everything is looking sooo much better than the last round (in my opinion at least). I had a better grasp on how to feed the plants in flowering this time and definitely learned that less = more in some cases. Anyway, these are scheduled to be chopped in about 13 days if they look right.

I'm very excited to say that there is now another 1k HPS hanging in the flower room!! Adding some extra warmth during the day has been nice so far. Here's a look:

Looking sick Kaoss Def less is more when using multiple supplements and boosters. But it seems you got it down this run with the MK. Should be able to get you a cut of my Chemdog here soon, shes vegging up very nicely. Also gonna hit the female with that Chemdog pollen to make some F2's for us to play with. Enjoy yourself on that vacation, then get back quick to harvest these broads!!!!
