I found out my older brother was a Mason. I found out at his funeral...he was 76.
...they have nice funerals. It's funny he never mentioned being a Mason, before?

Like Chief said.... in reference to the Masons specifically, degrees matter ... and so can the lineage of your sponsorship. Some can trace there member lineage very far back. This can cause internal hierarchies. Haha, It can almost be exampled by being Sicilian in the Mob.
It's just a different perspective on the world.

On the other hand, I don't particularly view most evangelical and even main-stream Christian churches in the U$ today as following the word of Jesus, at least as I read The Word. And "Satan" means enemy. So, if I'm the enemy of a false doctrine being spread in the name of Jesus, does that make me a follower of Satan?

just the word around town. all the research and everyone who isn't a mason that i know believes that's what it is. a lot of the so called free masonry revealed info says so, so, that's pretty much how the public views the organization.

There is a HUGE lodge in my hometown...we even have some signs (legit ones posted by the town) that are like 6"x4" on the side of the road about it lol. BUT oddly enough there is literally zero chatter about Masonry and such...I've always been one of the only people that actually have an active interest in it.

my grandfather was a Mason. he was also in the Boumi Temple (Shriners, those guys with the fez hats and funny little cars)

he definitely did not rule the world, but when he died it was really cool. Near to 100 old guys, dressed up in top hats and aprons showed up at his funeral for some type of Masonic ceremony. it made me feel good to know that those guys cared about my grandfather.

Now this leads me to wonder if Masonry is noticeably more abundant in certain areas?
Because even in towns that lay adjacent to mine, at LEAST 75% of the people I've ever had the subject come up around don't even know what the hell I'm talking about. and at LEAST half of those people haven't even heard of Masonry and the likes except through things like The DiVinci Code...and then there's the random tard who lives in my town with this massive, advertised lodge in the middle who falls into that boat.
