My 1st attempt with CBD rich genetics

Hey gang I’ve been growing a pretty long time but I’ve never had access to CBD beans that I trusted would give me what I want. Truly rich CBD plants.

Enter Ace with CBD#1.. received my delivery today and immediately placed all 6 seeds into a moist paper towel zip locked it and put it on top of the refrigerator.

I plan on cloning all plants before placing in flower and having all plants tested at my local lab after harvest.

Nobody in my area grows true CBD plants so I think I’ll be able to spread some medicine around once I find my keepers.

Regular updates to follow

Thanks for checking in dubi.. 72ish hours later and all 6 have germinated.. half were germinated yesterday but I waited for all 6 before putting them in 8 ounce semi clear plastic cups.

I use 100% canna coco that I hydrate with my nutrient solution (jacks/calnit/epsom) with a layer of gnatnix on the bottom and top. I used to lose a lot of seedlings before doing the gnatnix.

I’ll also be applying mykos and azos to the seed hole. I’ve never done this before but I’ve recently been using them at transplant.. I also use ogbiowar a lot but the azos and mykos are significantly cheaper and maybe more targeted.

Excellent :) A good start. Happy for you!

CBD #1 fem seeds are very fresh and should produce perfect germination rates when they are properly germinated
Best wishes for your first CBD grow!

3 days later all 6 are up.. 5 look good 1 doesn’t.. that’s why they give you a freebie, in case one doesn’t work out. They’re currently in a little cabinet with some neglected bonsai moms. The cabinet is lit with 60 watts if SILs.

I’ll post updates weekly on Fridays.. thanks.

Thanks for your support farmerlion, I hope you’re faring well in these trying times.

Not much to update.. 4/6 look text book... the runt is still a runt but it’s better than I thought. Another is oddly colored and refusing to throw its 2nd set of true leaves.

They were given 2/3 strength nutes Monday night and full strength with OGBiowar root and foliar mixed in last night (Thursday).

2 weeks above ground

Not a lot to report, some branching forming at the nodes.. gonna move them into my veg tent under 600 MH. Time to crank them up... the “mutant” might just hate its food... I’ll keep it going and see if it grows out of it with some real light.

3 weeks since germ

3 weeks since germ

They were transplanted Monday night, into large ice coffee cups, I like to watch root development. Next transplant will be 1 gallon root pouches. As soon as they start throwing alternating branches I’m going to pull a couple clones of each and flower. I probably shouldn’t have germed all 6 because room in the veg tent is limited, but that can be fixed.

Thanks for checking in dubi, I had planned to update tonight... been a pretty uneventful veg, but that’s about to change I feel.

Everything is great, 5 of the 6 were put in the flower room at lights out this morning. I needed room in my veg area. They were put in 1 gallon root pouches a few days ago and 2 clones were pulled from each off the bottom laterals. I labeled them 1-5 based off height and recorded the usefulness of their laterals. My tallest plant also had the most robust laterals, this is important since I grow barebulb vert. Numbers 2 and 3 have almost no lateral growth at all, will be very columnar. Plants 4 and 5 have nice laterals but unless they grow quite a bit in height with stretch may be unsuitable for my style of growing.

I’m not looking for a large harvest just collecting data to decide who stays. Right now plant 1 is in the lead.

I plan on taking pictures tonight just before lights on and I should have roots by next week on my clones. So next week I will update 1st week stretch and ease of cloning.

Plants 4 and 5 as well as the mutant.

A buddy with a nice yard wants clones so I’m going to give him the mutant with his clones.

2 weeks in the flower room, and all clones rooted #s 1,2, and 5 rooted in 9 days #s 3 and 4 the following day. I’ll try and snap pics at some point over the long weekend but they’re kinda buried in the flower room.

It’s been 9weeks of flower.. I harvested all 5 because I’ve been fighting humidity and bud rot in my room.. these plants look clean so mold resistance checks out. All plants are very resinous.. greasy even. Here’s pics.

None stretched past any others.. so 1 started and finished tallest, 5 started and finished shortest.. plant 4 has pretty air buds, I think it could have gone probably 2 more weeks. This is personal use though. I’m the only person I know who likes CBD so this will last me a long time.. although I bet I can sway some people to the CBD lifestyle with this weed.. thanks Ace and Dubi. I have more Ace seeds to pop. I should be back in a month or so with lab results on these CBD

Looking great! Congratulations! :good:
Please update us with a smoke report when you get the chance.

I'm torn between getting CBD#1 or Lebanese, really curious about what a rich CBD strain feels like.
