I use my friend's vacuum purger..he made it out of an industrial vacuum from harborfreight (120$) attached it to a piece of 1/2 " plexiglass...after spraying into the pan, and letting the butane evaporate, we put the whole pyrex pan into a big thick pot and put the plexi 'lid' on, with rubber gasket...it sucks out so much extra butane that it swells up quite a bit...almost hitting the lid sometimes. It was amazing to see how much was left in what I thought was a 'clean' product.

I'll get pics next time. :)

what ur gonna do is get your cordless drill out, and use a drill bit you don't plan on using in the future, or some thick wire... Anyway, I pull the trigger and scrape back and forth while heating the bho... Eventually it starts to look like melted butter, and I remove it from the heat, and then I try to get it all to the center before it solidifies too much and it's a PIA to scrape up. Get some fresh razors, cause ur gonna need them.

Then when ur done scraping your pyrex dish, and there's still tons of resin stuck to it... Make brownies in the pan. :D Welcome to my world.

Bobblehead;

Thank you, ok so some stiff wire or an old drill bit will "whip" the oil on some low heat 80-90 degrees, get a box of safety razors, scrape and pile until I have a pound size pile of Ear wax, this is going to be some work, looks like the girlfriend to come home to me in front of the Plasma screen, heating plate on low.....with my drill bit spinning while watching FOX news cuz you know it's fair and balanced. She is going to shit a brick until I grease her palm with a few Benjamins then she is all happy again........funny how that works:jump:

stealthDragon;

Ok so your saying I should purge it before I "whip" it, I think I have a good idea what your suggesting, the only unclear part is the actual pump, where does one get one of those?

THANK YOU both for your help if I could and hypothetically speaking, I would love to send you some of the finished product as a thank
you:thank you:

man I'm not sure exactly. It might..kinda looks like the one we used. If I remember right when it hits 20 is when the magic happens..(had a little neg pressure meter that went from zero to neg 30 I think).I think that was the #..I'll ask tomorrow and let you know. I'm 95% sure this is the one he has...maybe compare the specs?

edit: wrong on the pump, check next post.

I cant believe I just now found this thread, wasted the last few months on another site...
I just finished my small test grow, and now have a 10x12x8 room ready to go. I was going to go horizontal, but not after reading some of the vert threads here.
I cant see any of the pictures from the first few pages, are there pictures of the setup elsewhere?
I got a good laugh at the Sentinel article down at City Hall! I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, and cant stand it down there. I prefer to live in the SC Mountains! What part of town are you from? I still have family in Live Oak, but its not the Live Oak I grew up in...

hey bud I checked it out and I was wrong on the pump..it's a 2 stage pump and it goes to 1-30 "HG" ...the oil purges at about 20hg..so maybe you could get away with a pump that can do 20hg...not sure though. Also this isn't even my pump and I've only done it a few times ;) ..there may well be more info here at IC, I haven't checked. Also the 1/2" plexi is kinda hard to find I think.

So I'm not sure if that pump would work..you would have to check the specs. I think anything under(over?) 20 hg wouldn't even do anything.I did a quick check and found a few pumps are rated with the 1-_hg.

Arminus - I removed a few pics from my library cuz I thought it was preventing me from posting new ones but it wasn't ...it was operator error..lol

I'd rather not say exactly where I live on this forum because a LOT of SC'ers read this site and I have got a LOT going on at my house and want to still keep it on the "down lo" cus we got rippers here too.

Let's just say I live in the SLV area up Hwy9, and yes you should come back to SC bro, why the hell did you leave? You know we were all pissed at you when you did!.......................(snicker)

This was brought to you by Mega-Productions, produced and directed my Megayields.

Oh and one more of the C99 that would simply NOT finish indoors so gro-bro just put her outside where she promptly finished, will cut her tomorrow and trim her up and she smells like Pepper/Lemon soo nice!

I didn't mean to pry on your exact whereabouts ;-). We're neighbors...
Really curious to see what you can do with the Black Rose. I am going to need 8 clones of something pretty quickly. I was thinking Jack Herer, but if the Black Rose is available... I would understand if you plan on keeping that one close to your chest...

Quick question gang (I know this in INDOOR VERTICAL section) but I truly respect the vert crowd because they have proven to be light years smarter than many other growers.

OK do these need Cal - Mag I am noticing the purple stems BUT we have been getting very cool nights and mornings now? I would say 90 degrees high to low 50, even possible high 40's evenings and nights, could THAT temperature swing purple the stems?

Here are some pics to show what I am talking about;

OK and for your viewing pleasure some bud PORN! OMG these are starting to smell so good, but had a rough day today, Hot Water heater died, flooded my flower room and garage, had to get sump pump an pump it all out, raise the electrical cords carefully....turn on de-humidifier to run all night cuz it's like 100% humidity in their but since the new crop is stretching not a totally bad thing (shrug), had to get firewood in for the winter, dyamn this week off from work is making me wish I was BACK at work so I can get some rest...LMAO..enjoy

Hey Mega,
I have two outdoor and I have the same climate as you and I have no purple stems. The buds on my Goosh are starting to purple up, while the chocolope is still completely green...
I got ahold of 20 free cuttings of some Sour Diesel, so that is the strain I will be doing next.
I will be starting a journal in the next couple of days, and would appreciate if you stopped by.

OK Final numbers

OK Final numbers

Alright gang here is the final number for the indoor run last time;

We are guessing on a few last bags to trim and one last C99 plant drying but we think we took about 2281 grams, that is 5.06 lbs or about .7128 GPW yep we didn't even hit 1 GPW but I really cannot complain we are getting more each time and if I could fucking get myself to MONO-crop I think we could break 6 lbs with this design.

I have a new business opportunity that kinda presented itself to me and is directly related to the MMJ area but in San Diego, the upside is pretty intense and I am considering investing in it. If I did I might be doing a 20 lighter vertical warehouse project but we are at the exploratory phase, if ANY of you guys run a delivery service or storefront dispo. and feel comfortable talking to me in PM's I could sure use some advice.

Also STILL looking for answer about the purple color of my outdoor stems I am still looking for some guidance their as well, is it Cal - Mag deficiency or just the colder nights?

mega i read in one of crazy composers threads that the purpling stems is a nute deficincy, not sure i really agree with that as some of my strains have purple stems and purple leaf stems and look healthy as hell and produce fat dense buds,

The problem with plant diagnosis, it that there are more than one explanation for each condition. With each strain having different properties, and different stimuli causing similar reactions, its hard to tell. Is it systematic through the whole plant?
I am excited about runing a mono-crop of SD. Watered the rockwool cubes tonight with Superthrive, just enough with a mister to not soak the cubes. They are 48 hours old at this point, and hope to start seeing roots in the next 5-7 days. This is my first time doing my own clones, so crossing my fingers I dont fuck shit up. At least I have 20 of them...
My new room is just waiting for electrical, but I just found out my step-brother has designed rooms, and know electrical. I am hoping to pull a 60amp 220, and 30amp 110, but electricity scares the shit out of me, a fire at 3am is not what I need. I am a roofer, and I know my limitations...
Nice yield either way, you know what you can do to improve, so its all good.

Thank you Josey, I "think" it is just the cooler nights as I thought I told gro-bro to hit them with Cal-Mag, but I am not sure totally, they LOOK hella healthy and are already getting REAL frosty and smell OMG they smell like heaven and they are JUST starting to swell up.
