Bottom line is its all about demographics. If youre marketing things for the 18-35 male populous and you know random boners sells things or at the very least draws attention youre not going to sell anything with a black and white text ad unless the people are already looking for it.

I am a straight man, and I agree that it seems to be corrupting the garden of eden to include image worship, lust and vanity in the GARDEN OF EDEN? I think it really depends on what turns you on. Are we going to be as Adam and Eve or Rama and Krishna in the garden of eden/paradise/nirvana? ICMAG makes High Times seem obsolete. This being said, I recently purchased the Nov 2007 issue out of boredom, wishing to read it on long bus rides with no internet connection. This was the issue with an article about Ganja and Rastas in Africa. I have read plenty of issues of skunk, cc, soft secrets NL, and High Times with naked human females in them and I can say that the image of a human female that turned me on the most was a drawing of a green goddess buying the farm on page 104. On page 48 were two regular girls sitting smoking a joint in Napa Valley. This was good to see them happy, and the pic made you want to sit at their table and smoke with them. The girls that look natural and genuine are ok. These fake gold-digging "bongsluty" plastic whores on the other hand, have got to go. Not only does it objectify women and give men a skewed sense of what is beautiful, I highly doubt they would make good girlfriends, wives or mothers. Probably better for ****ing you over, stealing your money and weed, giving you std's, wasting your veerna and aborting your babies.
Who's going to pass their joint to some made up whore with 2 millimeters of nasty lipstick on? Someone who doesn't mind a joint smeared with lipstick! I am not trying to put anyone down. If someone wanted to pay me to look good, I would probably take the money, depending on the situation(no haircuts!No additives!). Where to draw the boundary between class and trash? I do know, that combining pornstar looking girls, and sexy cannabis plants just to sell magazines, seems more like babylon than the garden of eden. I am trying to bring the georgous cannabis plants and the gorgeous humans away from babylon slavery and toward that beautiful garden of Zion where we can all be happy and free to be you and me. This being said, many, male, human, high times readers are attracted to women and cannabis plants and therefor are likely to be attracted to a magazine with women and cannabis plants, even if the ladies are naked! Once the fake breasts and fake smiles appear, It starts detracting from the magazine and it's mission.
Translation: Happy High Natural Women : Good for Cannabis
Slutty, fake, gold-digging, not high, un-natural women: bad for cannabis

Then again... who am I to judge... These magazines have their place, we cannot expect them to be as high as ICMAG, maybe just a bit higher than all the other slop being fed to consumers these dayz...

It's marketing....they don't give a hoot who you are or where you're from, they care if you're their target market. More men than women smoke weed, it's a fact. Men are visually turned on while women are turned on by intimacy and love. These things don't always hold true, but most of the time they do, so on average a person reading the magazine is a male that smokes weed.

Who cares about magazines? Those magazines are for n00bs.

Have you even thought that they are taking advantage of males by enticing them with those pictures? They want to sell us something and manipulate us to do so by putting sexy women on the cover and in the mag.

And I do think that women smoking weed is sexy because you dont see it everyday and a women that smokes weed would tend to be more like me and have similar views than one that doesnt.

The magazines are for entertainment, and their target audience is college-age males. There are motorcycle magazines that do the same thing, even though there are a LOT of skilled female riders. I would take it with a grain of salt, since like you said, IC Mag doesn't objectify women, and it is far superior to print cannamags.

Personally, since I like beautiful women, and I like cannabis, I would love to see pin-up photography of women posing in 14 ft. ganja trees
