Making money online, suggestions?

I guess you have seen an add on the webb saying there's a way to make easy money online, often outrageous amounts, well i never fell for these or even bothered to check them out, but now im open for anything basicly, Im a student, and getting a part time job here is basicly impossible, I wanted to hear if there's any chance to make money online in any sort of way, im willing to put some effort into it but unfortunately i don't have much money to invest, this is the hard part, most of the times you need money to make money.

So is there good way for a student to make money online?

In short, no. Those advertisements you see are affiliate marketing scams and the more people they trick, the more money they make. There ARE ways to make money online but a good majority of it is not legit, a lot of people never get the promised money and/or get stuck because of international bank transfer issues.

Go get a job, seriously. Or sell weed.

Basically, find some stuff in quantity with value that is cheap (from auctions, thrift stores etc.) and that others would pay more for (for the convenience and small numbers).

Not that the above is too easy... Plenty of others doing the same. But you can specialize in your areas of expertise.

Unfortunately its not the 90's anymore and making decent profits online is difficult. The internet is saturated with people selling everything you can imagine. Online auctions can still be a good idea, you just need to find a niche.

Amazon has a new service called mechanical turk, where people post usually mundane tasks that they'll pay cents for, and if you can endure the boredom and do enough of them you can make a few bucks. Its usually online marketing related stuff, doing the dirty work of gathering data and links. Just another option for you

There are a bunch of different stock indexes okay? look to the OTC index! The ads you see basically tell you to do the same thing they're doing, but they explain how to put the ads up and perhaps explain some technical work involved (handling a server/domain etc.) They aren't necessarily scams, but they do automatically rebill your credit card if you read the fine print.

The people running those affiliate marketing ads make A LOT of money. It's unfathomable. Some of them doing Acai weight loss last year were pulling in 5-6 figures a day! 4-5 figures a day was considered "newb" and it's all perfectly legal.

The FCC recently updated their guidelines for ads for the first time in 2 decades, mainly in response to these ads. Disclaimer is needed, no fake reviews, "results may vary" is no longer sufficient etcetc.

Anyway, here's how you need to think of making money online. When I was young I used to think "If everyone in the US gave me 1/4th of a penny, I'd be rich!"

and now that's possible online. I can speak to millions of people directly from home, but I just need a pitch for why they should pay me anything.

Since you can target millions of people a day with very specific interests, you want to find or create a product and then just work on advertising it. If you open up a store selling ONLY HPS bulbs in your city, you won't get much traffic because there aren't many people who need HPS bulbs, relatively speaking.

This doesn't apply on the Internet. A site that sells JUST HPS bulbs will get thousands of sales a day because A LOT of people do need HPS bulbs. Maybe not relative to the number of who who don't even know what the bulbs are, but enough that you'll make 5 figures a month and live a comfortable life.

1000bulbs.com pulled in I think $70 million in 2007 and probably twice the amount this week.

The key is to first create a product, and then learn how to market it. If the product is useful to YOU then there's likely a huge market for it online.

For example if you're charming, write a 30 page PDF file ("ebook") about approaching and talking to women. Sell it for $10. If you get 5 sales a day (easy) that's $50/day and $1500/month and it's recurring. You sit back and you don't have to do shit except make more products. In reality this niche is HUGE and you'll make way more sales per day but it's saturated so I suggest starting with something else, at least for now.

Porn is unbelievably saturated by the way. The numbers involved are astronomical even from an Affiliate Marketer's point of view, and these are people who spend so much money in advertising costs that they can live off the cash back.
