Looking at the text I think they're taking the avg price for an 1/8th and multiplying by 8.

They are not kidding.
I am sure I spent close to 70k on 480-560 and ounce weed in Chicago the thirteen years I lived there. That was mostly super high end stuff though.
The kind of stuff you do not find in cali dispensaries ie 15 week diesel hazes.
Whole lotta beasters to be had. The cali imports were just getting raging when I left.
I bet the suburbs are silly with them now.

Oh I guess the mid-grade is the cali outdoor, high-grade is mostly local.

So the eighth prices are for the mid-grade cali outdoor. That makes sense, they're making a profit then.

According to Price of Weed, the average price of a high-quality ounce of marijuana in Illinois is $430.80, while a medium-quality ounce can be purchased for roughly $303.13. The data is based on just under 1,000 submissions. In Chicago, based on recent data, the average price of a high-quality eighth of marijuana appears to hover just under $60.

They just fucked up is all...60*8 is 480... not enough profit at that oz price..

60 for an eigth of high grade is kinda avg nationwide...

Lottsa people in this area do 60 all the way up, might get ounce of real good 400-430.
300 seems about dead on for cali crap.

Here's a link to an article about the same thing, and a map they developed with the data.
