Cannabiogen, Ace, Chimera, Mr. Nice all great breeders to consider for old school sativas and sativa hybrids.

yeah, I´m down with Cannabiogen , Ace Seeds, Mr.Nice Seeds, Paradise Seeds, Serious Seeds ..... I can´t speek about seed companies I haven´t tried, but I must say, I´ve come across goog selected clones from a lot of seed companies through friends who bought several packs and did a small selection, I think most seedbanks have good genetics, it depends a lot on what you want, and what you get, I for instance was quite disapointed when I grew Skunk #1 for example, why?, because it was a shit plant? NO! , because I expected a smelly stinky plant, and SK#1 grw into a sweet smelling herb, it was an awsome plant, but not what I expected....a few years later, I came across Cheese, and found a smelly plant.... of cours there are seedbanks that don´t do their homework... and those we should all avoid...but in general, I think there are a lot of good guys , doing sereious work out there

I have watched the green rush take place from the very beginning. The commercialization of cannabis seeds at this point, is a far cry from a few decades ago. The recent trend in seed production has blown me away, considering the number of breeders and types available thanks to hybridization and medical laws birthing full legality in particular states. Along with the tolerances taking place in other countries and the over all tilting populaces view on it in general. Times are changing fast.

The majority of the recent past decades Cannabis I have seen, smoked and grown from the open seed market has been watered down compared to the previous decade, a good portion of it not even being of the drug type, thanks to to piss poor pollen chucking and sellouts. Their is no regulation yet so it is a black market even if tolerated. Not that I endorse a regulated market. One based on other factors would be good though.

I do think their is an art to chucking pollen but when one uses inferior plants to begin with it is like pissing into the wind. A sure disaster most times not. Often untested crosses are sold and this too is another problem. Superior genetics are becoming more and more rare thanks to this all. But in the end it will all be rope by then. The drug types take time and love and a lot of dedication has to be put forth into selection, if one intends to preserve and breed plants of the drug type chances are they are in it for life no matter what. Some people still think that Marijuana is not hemp and vice verse but they to have been fooled by this plants diversity. Only trust seed providers with a proven record of breeding true drug type varieties and you ll be better off than the rest.

Most of the recent so called breeders that have hit the market in the past decade where never outlaw growers and probably never would have been. The majority have limited experience with growing and probably have not even grown the lines they breed enough to truly known them and their genetic properties. It takes years to learn this though and the green rush sent many into a frenzy with less than a few solid chucks under their belts.

I am counting my lucky stars now at this point in my life. Been smoking 28 years and growing my own almost just as long. I wasted time sweat and a lot of money on many of the old and newest of lines to only be disappointed nine out of ten times in the recent years.

I have no need at this point but I would take caution reading what others say here and make note of the breeders and lines others mention as worthy - run from the rest

( This short list is from my own experiences )

Bodhi, Outlaw Genetics, Garden of Dreams & OG Raskal to name a few on my worthy list.

Unworthy- Barneys, Exotic Genetics, TGA & Holy Smoke Seeds to name a few again.

I have been growing indoors for over 20 years and my current list of reputable breeders that are current is short: 1) Bodhi Seeds 2) Archive Seeds 3) JAWS Gear 4) Connoisseur Genetics
I have found greaat phenos in all these companies selections over the last year or so.
As far as the negatives go, I do not have any. Some of the seed companies that have been mentioned I have had great plants from ie Barneys Farm, TGA. Also some people have given great praise to seed companies I have had garbage from( I will not name) I just no longer purchase from them.

I just thought this thread needed some bud porn. Just wanted to make the point that any of us can make some fine strains with the right tools. It is NOT rocket science. I found this gal in a run of 20 seeds I made.

we have been growing 15+years, smoking 40+.. in the last 15yrs the one standout is... nirvana... yes nirvana and their catalog of cheap seeds... their white widow was very good, and we found of pheno of their jock horror that was a$$-kickin... all at 2bucks a seed..

as to the list of 'pollen-chucker' we don't like... its a long list...
