Showing support for Medical Cannabis use to your local government is great. But it is like being in the middle of the ocean with a life boat. You are out of the water but still in the middle of the ocean. If you don't row that boat you will get nowhere. You need supporters 24-7 365 days a year. Somebody in your county has to stand up and be elected to sit on the other side of that table. To do that you need voters. To get voters you need media support. Life wont get better unless you work for it.
