I had some major spider mite trouble in the past and noone wants to use nasty chemicals or even sometimes neem oil is a chore. This involves Co2 so if you dont have any, its not cheap to get started but well worth the investment as it can be used for many things. I do suggest preventing these outbreaks initially in veg with a good neem product. (Einstein is the best Ive found). However to truly KILL EVERY BUG is too easy if you invest a few dollars. If you grow more than three plants and have any room at all this is a perfect solution. Before explaining this easy fix, I will start by telling you that eggs from these guys hatch in about two days at 90 degrees or hotter. and at 60 degrees it takes approx a month to hatch, so teperature is KEY. If you have any issues, first try and get that temp down. However either way this is one fullproof way to treat the actual plant. As for the room, clear it out (remove ALL plants)and use a pyrethrum bomb.
OK, go and find yourself a 50 gallon barrel (with sealable lid)(usually a blue barrel) at any farm store. If your plants are small enough to fit inside this barrel, great, too easy. Skip to next step. If they are larger and full of flowers, then cut a hole in the bottom of the 50 gallon barrel just the size of a five gallon bucket. Slide 5 gal bucket into the inside of 50 gal from the top and sit on the factory lip of the bucket down on the floor of the 50 gal barrel. Next set your plant inside the bucket (inside the barrel) and seal lid. This is now airtight. Your C02 hose is about 1/4 inch in diameter. Drill a small hole in the top of the lid(because C02 sinks) , and flood the barrel with C02. So simple. This removes all available oxygen for these bastards and within an hour, they are ALL DEAD!!!!! I call it my spider mite death chamber. Now this is obvoiusly much more Co2 than needed in your growroom(1500ppm or so) . Im guessing that they are dying with a ppm reading inside the barrel of around 15,000 ppm! This works especially well on the day of harvest. Good luck all! peace
