Judge Selection for 2005?

Hey all... I am really excited about this years upcomming 420 cup... I am extremely considering going to the cup... who do I email or PM to be on the list to be picked as a judge? Also.. if I end up going to the cup and do not get choosen to be a judge how do I get to smoke all the good weed thats entered? Can you purchase the same weed the judges get to test? Never been to the cani cup, 420 cup, or the damn for that matter. I just need to find out so I can get my passport all ready!

This year I suggest we pick as many lady judges as we can. It seems to me that some care should be taken in their choosing however. I volunteer to interview and help choose the lady judges for the event.

You ARE funny BOG

Judge passes which will be available for reservation, more details will be posted on this soon. There will be some changes to judging this year, but the judges will be comprised of both public and celebrity judges, similar to last year. Soon there will be a thread posted to give ALL the information necessary to have an awesome Grower's Cup.

Also planned this year is an additional Cup, IC Mag 420 Breeder's Cup. The overall event itself will still be the IC Mag 420 Grower's Cup, however, through the addition of the Breeder's Cup category, this will enable those who grow cannabis for seed production to participate together. The Grower's Cup will be comprised of all independent growers.

We are making some refinements, additions, and changes to how last year's event took place so bear with us just a bit...we're working very hard to get everything finalized so that we can bring you all the information and daily events calendar as quickly as possible.

First off the weed flows very freely. The judges have so much to test that the most they could take was a couple of puffs. After that the joints got passed the hash got passed. And Gypsy handed out bags of pot. Some people walked in there straight with no weed and staggered out. Weed in Amsterdam, at a weed festival is the last of your worries.

I mean dont get me wrong.. I know ill get smoked at the cup.. but.. some of us follow members grows a lot and would really like to sample it at the cup.. but if that grower, strain, etc.. is in the competition and I have no pass or whatever then im screwed.. dosent seem like it would be worth the trip to the dam at that particular time. I can go to amsterdam anytime to go and buy weed.. but I am rushing to get to the ICmag cup because I want to meet all of you guys and smoke it up but I am not going to amsterdam on the chance I might get a pass... I dont have that kind of money or time w/ my schedule with work, etc... so if someone could help me out with reserving a pass to the cup I would really appreciate it and get a plane ticket.. but with no reservation my chances are slim to come.. im not trying to be a baby but I am going to the dam for the reason of the cup and if I cannot get in then its not worth it to me,id rather wait till i had the time and money and go whenever.

I completely understand you.. im just saying the whole reason I am going is to try all the weeds and to get to meet everyone.. I know I could meet everyone.. thats not the problem.. the problem is being able to try whatever weed I want to when I want too, lol.. believe me I know beggers cannot be choosers.. but with a pass you can basically do what I want to do, lol.. so if I am able to reserve a pass I will definatly buy a plane ticket. I mean noone wants to go with me so I will be going by myself but im sure I will meet up with others.. anyone else from PA going

Well not even the judges know who's sample their smoking. The samples are all numbered so no cheating can be done. If the growers sent more than 28 grams. He will have the rest to smoke himself(or with you).

I was not aware of the strain names being hidden.. guess it definatly makes sence. I have never been to a cup before so I just have no clue what to expect. So what is the deal with reserving a pass, I wonder how many are available and when DG is going to announce the post for it? Ill just wait and see.

BOG - sorry about the post I typed before I was just in a bad mood that day and shouldnt have taken it out on you... I just know you will have no problem getting a pass but for me it was my decision on weather or not to go to the cup.. its all good I know you have earned your pass and believe me I respect that!

chill the fuck out.. im sorry i have never been to amsterdam or a cup before and before I make a trip out of the US and get a passport I wanted to know all the details, is there something wrong with that? I mean this is the ICmag 420 Cup forum.. I have never ONCE asked for a free pass.. I just asked when DG was starting the registration thread and or how to recieve a pass... I just got done typing a thread in introduce youself saying how nice everyone on IC is.. guess I spoke too fast. I figure a mentor would have a little more respect and would help a noob out instead of bashing him.
