Accidentally clicked on this thread and wondered where the plants were after a couple of posts that I read in here...

I've come to the conclusion there is an argument in every thread on IC lol :2cents:

Back to the diary and flower pics section again :Bolt:

And when I retire at 52 with my 30 in, I wouldn't mind keeping on working and maybe try some of the jobs you've had. Ones that I'd be most interested in are:

Farm Hand (own a farm would be nice)
Plumber's Assistant (so I can fix my own leaks)
Bartender (so I can learn how to get drunk 100 ways)
Restaurant Designer (well, Restaurant Owner, actually)

Throw in Carpenter and we're all set. I *really* want to take carpentry classes at some point in my lifetime. Learn how to build a house, then build my own house.

Yeh looking at your list again YOU must be like 200 years old or a sorry worker who can't hold a job.

DONT like to flame but might be dam good at it
i know a guy who has worked over 40 different jobs in his life no lie. he doesn't
like staying at one job very long. so 25 is definitely doable. the guy i am talking
about is very knowledgeable and can take on just about any job he likes. he has
done it all. from corporate jobs to labor jobs.

Honestly Doob, those are things you can learn with ease brother, sweating pipes and basic carpentry (even semi-advanced) is not that hard.....Anyway, it would seem you have a plan. The getting drunk 100 ways I've seemed to have mastered without getting paid for it. :D

Work it

Peace,

Cemetary Plots/Pre-Arrangement salesman
this is an interesting job. i can only imagine trying to pitch cemetery plots
to almost dead people, or sometimes, probably perfectly healthy people.

tell me more!!! i have always wanted to dig cometary plots but never sell them. that kind of shit
don't bother me. it always seemed like a decent job to me. i normally ride my bike my the cemetery
here and i always see them digging holes. it don't look that bad to me.

i'm fairly young and dealt a long while, so my list is short

tourist crap salesman
messenger
paralegal
24 hour law consultant(i worked with a lawyer that handled a LOT of drug cases, and they'd call in during a traffic stop to ask what they should do, best training ever)
logisitics work(ok, i put boxes in trucks and took them out of other trucks)
various fast food restaurants

You're not too far off.I use to visit people at their homes and basically sell them plots, moseleums and and all of their final arrangements at the going rate of the day hedged against future costs.

The company I worked for owned several large cemetaries in my area and they catered to a certain demographic that tended to not carry life insurance. I did my best to make it affordable for them.

I had a relative that worked for a Catholic cemetary and he was the one actually digging graves and so on.

He did pretty good salary-wise for the skill sets that were involved with it.

Me, I wore a suit and tie to do what I did.

Oops, forgot some more...

Timeshare Salesman
Campground Membership Salesman
Drug Dealer (no W2 or 1099 for that job)
Loan Shark (no W2 or 1099 for that job either)

My apologies to the poster who took offense at my use of wit to demonstrate my point. I have no idea who you are, how well (or unwell) you build a home or anything else. I certainly haven't ever spoken to either of your parents and had no basis for making a joke about your post. It was simply a joke and I see that you missed it, so it wasn't much of a joke and I am sorry I ever wrote it.
