We used to use a product called poly-lock or wirelock / wiggle wire on our greenhouses up in the interior. It comes in multiple lengths and can be screwed right to a 2x4 or teel struts with self tappers/ tek screws- makes a great way to attach poly to a cheap DIY greenhouse and keep the poly nice and tight. It beats the @#%*& out of staples or clamps and stands up to pretty decent winds, lasts forever, can be cut into whatever size sections for angles on gables etc, etc. Can't recommend it enough for DIY greenhousers.

For those of you in the mountains or in colder climates, don't under estimate the power of a double layer of poly, with a small fan blowing from the peak of the inside of the greenhouse, and exhausting between the 2 layers of poly... the air acts as an insulator and makes a big difference helping maintain temps right through until morning. Keep an eye on your humidity at nights especially near the end of the season.

Hope that helps,

Great work on the greenhouse. What are you using to hold the studs together? I find spikes tend to get lose over the years and cut into the plastic. Looking forward to the finish pictures.

Only using screws.. but i'll be happy if i can get 3 seasons out of this ghouse. Ordering some larger prefab greenhouses to muck around with later this summer.

The plan is to get the cheap 6 mill vape poly installed so we can start moving the girls in. Im going to order 4 rolls of the greenhouse polly that will fit the whole ghouse in one seamless sheet and double layer it (with air)for insulation in cold weather.

Nice construction! Were halfway done with a 2x4 jobbie as well...

When does your season get shitty up there? I thought Humboldt was a juicy nightmare in the fall, I can't imagine BC!

Season can start to get shit at the end of september.. But we should be good to go till mid november with the heating mods im putting in place. Woodfire place, double layer polly with heat bubble in-between layers etc etc.. We are waiting a few weeks to get the double layer polly up. For now we used regular 6 mill construction polly. Looks a bit ghetto but at least i can get a bunch of the girls in there and spaced out.

I'll snap some pics today

A few of my older purple kush clones that are 3 feet tall are showing a few to many pre flowers for my liking. I really hope this wont stunt the bud production on those girls..

A Few pics of the Ghouse #1. We had to do a ghetto job on the polly. Tuck tape and multi sheets of vapour polly. It will hold no doubt as iv gone this route before BUT Iv ordered 2 rolls of single sheet greenhouse polly that will fit the greenhouse in one full sheet . No more tape.. No more bullshit seams..
ANYHOW 7 plants down the middle and 5 on each side. leaving lots of room. The 7 in the middle are in smart pots. the outside rows are dug into the ground with some uber soil to give em love. I let them dry out before i transplanted then soaked them down with a earth worm casting tea. This weekend the res and dripper system will be installed. Also adding box fans up high to push that damn hot air out.

cheers!

Im not really sure about the tuna. It was called that so thats what im calling it.. Came from some heavy cash croppers in vancouver. They have no reason to lie except they are cash croppers lol.. The plant is full blown kush no doubt. heavier then pk, no purple on the calyx structure but loads on the sugar leaf. ready in 8 weeks but i let mine run for 9 and get a bit of fox tailing from it. like lil crowns on each cola. I like her and i bet she will be great in the ghouse. what ever she is..

Hey man!

Just curious what you! mean by foxtailing.

Thanks

Peace
