I Want to go 12/12

But... The yield improving traits are a bonus, no doubt...? :p

Most definitely:) I was under some pretty rough size constraints when i started LST'ing so that is why its my first thought regarding the process. Corkscrew plants, thats where its at.

tbh bro i didnt read through the other pages but am i the only one tripping out that hes at 49days veg more than a month and a half veg

and his plants from the pics dont even look a foot tall.

im hopin these were from seed

if not dude i dont think you got everything dialed in yet.

its a learning curve so dont be disappointed if your harvest doesnt go your way. it will with time and exp.

:D

They were from seed. And I asked because I've seen many people who start flowering before 49 days. Plus I figured if it doubles or triples in size, from this size, it would be perfect. I am leaving them at 18/6 until the autos are ready and then I will switch it all over to 12/12.

And I still can't figure out how to LST. They are so bushy that it is not possible to pull down a branch and tie it down. I was trying to figure out which leaves to cut off to allow more light in there, but I can't even figure that out. A lot of what I am reading is super confusing to me. I feel stupid when I read some things to the point, where I really just don't get it. I've tried looking at diagrams, etc and it's the same thing. I think I will just leave them alone to do their thing unless I encounter a problem then I will check back and see if I should prune or other.

None of it's necessary, but some techniques would help. When you LST you would normally start earlier and tie down the plant so everything grows up. When you first start the trunk would bend and begin growing at a 90 angle. All of the branches from the nodes then grow up towards the light. It's a lot easier than it may seem, and for flouros it really can boost yield a lot. Good thing to learn to do.

That explains a lot. My stems are like pencils. They are not bending anywhere. I do see how, if I had done it when they were younger, it would have worked now. My whole thing was how is anyone getting their plants to do these things with stems that are hard as wood? Thank you!

It could still be done. You tie one string to the trunk of the stem pulling one way down towards the bottom. Then tie one towards the middle top area of the stem pulling it the other way, then tighten it a little each day for about a week. Eventually, it would sort itself out. But there is no reason to take a risk on a plant you've mostly vegged already. Next round you should try though =)

I will definitely try it on my next grow. Thanks!

I wanted to see how the girls were doing and the only way I can see is pictures so I thought I would update while at it. So we are at 53 days with the big girls and 26 days with the autos.

Here's an update on the Ak I showed earlier. Here you can see where it was just stem, has turned a few new heads to the light :)

So it's not too late to do this, if you have 4-5 days before flower.

Your plants are looking wwwaaaaaayyy healthier than the first post! Nice work!!!
