Greetings people!!!
Well... here I am to show you a little project that promises some revolution on the indoor growing. Is about a little hydroponic system (DWC) into a micro grow with LEDs-only ilumination! As you must know, the LEDs presents a lot of advantages, amongst them we can detach
- Low consumption of energy;
- 50.000 to 100.000 hours of useful life;
- It emits practically 100% of pure color;
- Do not generate heat;
- Etc...
SETUP:
Strains: Only 2 plants: BlueHash (Blueberry x Hashplant) of Dinafem 100% female; Marroc vs Afghani (Nirvana) VS. PowerChronic (Powerplant x Chronic).
Box: 70cm of height, 65cm of width, 27cm of depth (VERY small, as you can see). Mylar as wall's reflector.
Ilumination: SELF MADE 4 panels containing 120 LEDs each one (480 total), that are 20% blue and 80% red. Two of them uses PowerLEDs (the red have 80.000mcd and the blue 50.000mcd) and two with normal LEDs (without datasheet, but it is very weakker than the Power ones), all with 10mm. Photoperiod is 18/6 on vegetative and, of sure, 12/12 on floration.
Ventilation: Two 120x120mm totally silent fans (it don't need to be very strong, because i am using a little grow with LEDs wich won't heat).
Reservoir: Little box with 5 liters of water, with 1 air pump and a thermometer for the water.
Hydroponic solution: National salts (Brazilian), following a friend's formula. Totally changed twice a month. Mineral water is used.
Pots: Small net pots with expanded clay and a little block of phenolic foam (an alternative for rockwool).
Temperature and humidity: In this cold days, the temperature on growbox is about 22 to 25˚C, and 17 to 21˚C on the water solution; humidity is about 55 to 70%.
PHOTOS:
Well... thats all! I hope you like it!
