End of week 8

It is now the end of week 8, and here is the update:

Help: I'm running out of attachment space, can someone please tell me what the procedure is to post photos without first uploading them as attachments.

Harvest Readiness Assessment

Harvest Readiness Assessment

Since harvest time is approaching, I pulled out my Canon G10 and proceeded to capture some macros to better see trichrome colors.

The next set of pics I'm posting are very small crops from the original images:

As you can see, amber trichromes are nowhere to be found, and over 80% are milky white for shure.

The guy who gave me this strain told to wait until 15% is amber and then flush for two weeks, but I kind of want to start the flush in 5 days.

Any suggestions or critiques?

Got home, no smell

Got home, no smell

The Mountain Air is getting it done. The smell has been tamed and is now confined exclusively within the tent, it has even gotten rid of the smell from the mother box.

Fan is set to 50% on its controller, and the ozone is permanently off.

Root-pr0n

No aeroponic grow journal is complete without a healthy dose of root porn.

These are the roots, there are 5 plants but I had problems getting them all in the frame. That lid was very heavy.

My roots are white when up close, but they have developed a golden brown tone thanks to the seaweed extract.

First day of Flush

First day of Flush

It has been 8.5Weeks so far, and today I began to flush.

I ran 6 gallons on Drain to Waste after I cleansed the res, and all the filters. I had 500ppm after the first 3gallons, and 150ppm after the second 3gallons.

I plan on changing the water today once again, and probably every day for the next 3 days. the flush will run for at least 2 weeks, and I am using Final Phase as a flushing agent.

This time I took all the pics with the nice camera, in hopes to share better pics:

Flushing Process

Flushing Process

Day 2of flush: from the original 3gallons, 1.5gallons came out with 130ppm.
Note that the 3 gallons of RO water originally have about 7ppm.

I also noted that water consumption has increased since only about 1.5gallons are coming out.

Day 3 of flush: 1.5 gallons came out with 188ppm.
This time I used a flushing agent that had brought the original 3gal up to 120ppm before starting circulation

Day 4 of Flush: 1.5 gallons came out with 170ppm, flushing agent was used at the same 120ppm

Day 5 of Flush: 1.5g came out at 50ppm, flushing agent was not used.

I will now load it up with 14 gallons of water and leave the thing alone for the next 10days.
