How much do you trust anecdotal observations ?

There are lots of opinions on how to grow and I'm curious as to just how much most of you trust the anecdotal observations of posters.

Depends. A couple? Not really. A couple dozen? I still take with a grain of salt, but pro or con, give the comments on a subject considerably more weight.

Anecdotal evidence from peers is light years better source of information than from someone or something informing you with an agenda.
The receivers responsibility is filtering with common sense.

^^^ kinda be nice if the manufacturers of varying products would stop offering 'anecdotal' claims on their packaging & advertisements... how about some real tests & data?

i like to hear what people have to say and judge if it makes sense, if you know what you're talking about it's beneficial ie have a decent referrence point...

but if some noob is out there is misinforming people and you don't know better there in lays the problem, but again you live you learn from noobs, learning from your mistakes is the only way...

If your refering to ICmag .... there are a few guys here that i trust completely . they have been right on the money with diagnosis & remedy for me on more than one occasion . I truley love this place & would be lost without it .
