So please advice what else can be done other then what I am already doing (Gnatrall, yellow sticky tape). With soil I would let it dry for a few days but I use coco.
Coconutz forbid me. He said " Don't let it go dry".
So. What else can I do?

Chem wise Bayer complete in veg only worked for me
And i pre treat and charge coco with it.
Organic wise I would get ogbiowar root and foliar packs
Plus this makes a good microbe innoculant
I just wiped out my gnats with a combo of gnatrol and sticky gnat-stix in the pots. It took about 2 weeks and 3 applications to do get all the larve. The stix get the adults. I'll use the gnatrol for a few more waterings, just to be safe. You can find gnatrol on e-bay in all sorts of quantities. I use 1tsp/gal with excellent results. FWIW, I've had good results with predator nematodes too, but gnatrol is way cheaper and OMRI approved.
Good to know. Just bought gnatnix so i'm glad to hear that since it fucking 15 bucks for a little bag!
My friend garden - thousands of larvae would be flushing out with runoff.
It was frigging crazy how it looked.
Half a teaspoon per gallon and do 3-4 times consistently in a raw?
It look so nasty when mixed, I always think it harms my plants
Does the gnatrol say if it's good when using nematodes, i mean it won't kill my predatory nematodes? I am assuming the bti only affect insects not nematodes?I use 1/2 tsp/gal, maybe 1tsp/gal if they're really bad. There is no need to add the gnatrol solution until runoff. Just enough to penetrate the first few inches of your coco should be enough. A 5gal bucket should be enough to treat 20-40 plants depending on the size of the container. Maybe 50 for you, since you're probably using <2gal pots with coco.
I haven't seen any gnats since the 3rd application, but I'm going for a few more apps before I let up. I've got a few traps out to keep an eye on things.
The gnatrol does make the water look funky, but so does kelp or guano. Gnatrol is OMRI listed, give it a chance, and I think you'll be happy with it. Somebody else suggested essential oils, which do work, but that shit STINKS!
