So after thinking about the miner rescue and reading a story online, I figured some of us have fears when it comes to methods of dying...in other words, some might be afraid to drown or to be caught in a fire...etc...
I wondered, how bad it would be to be buried alive and/or in a collapsed mine? I started thinking what would go through your mind if you didn't die instantly? Helplessness...not being able to move your arms, legs, body...dirt in your mouth....unable to breath and within the last few seconds you realize you're done for and lose consciousness...
I also couldn't imagine being buried under asphalt mix....I read a story online of this kid who was working construction and some idiot in a backhoe hit a wheelbarrow or something and this kid ended up tripping and falling backwards into asphalt mix...it was burning him so the construction crew thought they would 'shock' the asphalt so they dumped a cooler of cold water on him....then at the hospital they had to cut off the asphalt AND his skin as it was permanently fused to it...he recounted how every morning he had to have it cleaned with steel brushes and rinsed...god i can't imagine the pain...imagine being buried alive in it!
