I just met the BEST (black Lab) rescue puppy EVER, and someone else got the chance to own him. His name is Larry, he's 4mos old, comes on command, sits, lies down, and when I sat with him while his owners visited Yosemite I taught him my house rules and he caught on in 3 tries or less. He doesn't chew things up, is already *well* housebroken and is SO LOVING. I'm so envious. My girl Hazel adored him and they played ALL DAY LONG (except when she decided it was time to sleep).

There have to be more just as good as he is out there, I'm sure. I would love to have another fantastic Lab like him or my old girl, Missy (RIP).

kinda impossible to find a springer spaniel at a rescue shelter...

even finding one for $600 is gonna be rough.
