Help for novice in hydroponics (dwc system)

The non-healthy root systems in the photos tell a completely different story. Temp is definitely affecting the grow.
so you think the main problem is his water temps?

light is the cause
temps might be a part of the problem, but black out that root zone with a little h202 in the mix and im sure he will be good to go
not a fan of moving a frozen bottle in and out of your tank, but maybe i like to take a cleaner approach
/everytime you open your reservoir you run the risk of contaminating your solution

They are a significant issue, yes.

light is the cause
The cause of the alge, not the main issue. Plants can grow just fine with lights on their roots. The roots will be white with a green coating when the everything else is correct. Yes it does affect pH and ppm a bit, but it is a minor concern in relation to temps.

When your temps are constantly in check, contamination is not something you'll be worrying about. My reservoirs are 'open' to the air and not sealed in any way except against light.

Hello guys, I update you, the plant is fine, yesterday I changed the solution, 1/4 of the recommended dose, I added 5ml of Floragrow, 5ml of Floramicro and 4ml of Florabloom, reaching an EC of 700us/cm which with the addition pH - reaches 1400us/cm. The roots have stopped turning green and I'm waiting for the new air stone.
I noticed that the old leaves (1, 2 and 3 internodes) are losing color, is it a lack of nitrogen or normal aging?
The plant is on the ninth day of pre-flowering but has not yet begun to bloom.

Comfortably numb!

What is the 9th day of pre-flowering exactly? Normally we say 9 days in veg, 2 weeks in bloom etc... Do you actually mean 9th day of veg? If so, please say so :)

S

Simohero

Sorry, it's difficult to explain it in another language ahah
With "pre-flowering" I mean that 9 days ago the white hairs came out in the internodes

I have not made the switch, it is an autoflowering, the light cycle is 18/6.
And on the twentieth day it showed the first pistils, today we are in the twenty-ninth but there are still no real flowers

Hello guys. The old leaves continue to turn yellow, while the new ones are still a beautiful green. I'm pretty sure it's a nitrogen deficiency, and as it was recommended to me in the Italian forum, I will proceed tomorrow with a change of solution, trying to maintain an EC between 1800/2000.
In fact, on Wednesday I had prepared the solution with 1400us/cm and today I found it at 1042us/cm, so the plant eats a lot.
For this change of solution I will still give higher doses of Grow and Micro compared to Bloom.
Here I attach the photo of the deficiencies and One of the new leaves.

I always try to make sure I have Calmag as well. (calcium/magnesium)

The plant seems still pretty short and small for flowering. I usually grow 2 months then flower.

Hi, calcium and magnesium are present in my starting water but are also integrated with Floramicro

The plant seems still pretty short and small for flowering. I usually grow 2 months then flower.

the plant is an AF, so it started flowering after 20 days

Covering your buckets and lids with foil backed bubblewrap is far better than painting. The thin foil tape used on air ducting works well to seal it up.
Good luck !

The leaf situation worsens very quickly.
On another group they said that this is not a shortage but an over, it seems strange to me. What do you think?

It's eating itself from the bottom up to support new growth.

When I use GH Flora, I use 8ml Micro and 16ml Bloom. Your plants want a lot more nutrients than they're getting. This is why your ppm changes so quickly by the next day.

17th day of flowering

17th day of flowering

Hi guys, as the title suggests, here we are on the 17th day of flowering.
Do you remember the problem of deficiencies? The problem was not the few nutrients in the solution, but the fact that the pH was at 3.20. Unfortunately I did not have an electric phmeter and I used a drop meter, but I found that it was malfunctioning and did not measure below pH 6. Now I have remedied with an Adwa ad12, I have also purchased an Adwa ad31 to replace my ecmeter, which was not well made.
Now I am giving 7.5ml Grow, 7.5ml Micro and 5.6ml Bloom (I have given more nitrogen to remedy the deficiency). Ec 900us/cm (stable) and pH 5.6. Unfortunately many leaves are lost, but I hope it will recover now.

OUCH! :( Well, the plant should be MUCH happier with you now. :) No worries, you're still going to get flowers. :D

Hello guys, sorry for the absence, but I had deleted the account, now I have done another but safely. The plant is going well, the switch is impressive, and I am having trouble containing it in my 40x40.
I replaced the old white pot with a black but smaller one (10lt of which I use 7lt).

Hey guys. I have a problem, the plant continues its relentless stretch, it is now in contact with the lamp; that can no longer be raised than it is now.
For the rest, the plant is fine, shows no signs of over or shortcomings, from the seedbanks card it should end its cycle in 55/65 days, we are 48 days from germination but it seems to me far behind in the development of the flowers.

The plant looks better. I would bend the top over and secure it with a string or twist tie. It'll give you about 6 inches more clearance on top and the bottom branches will come up a bit. You can keep training the top down till harvest.

Keep feeding her. Looks good! Has a little ways to go yet.

edit - If you do this, be careful not to break it!
