whats sad is the current politicians were warned this would happen and not only didnt to anything the made massive cuts to the funding of fire brigades ,
instead of worrying about threats like this within our country ,
they armed the federal police at airports with machine guns ,


they had to be pushed to do anything at all even well into the catastrophe ,
and still have only done a minimum ,
its absolutely pathetic ...

The point is made over and over - native tribes in Australia and the US had a very functional wildfire management culture.

I'm pretty sure they made sure their homes were fire-proof by setting up new homes after their controlled burns.
