Hello Pop. Rocks, I had my confirmation in it, in 1980. I live 2-3 miles away, I can´t hear if they ring the bell. It´s a typical northern german protestant church.

I just read, it could be that they builded the church on an old holy place of the pagan germanic tribe of the Chauken. The little tower came later as a defending tower/Wehrturm against norman/wikings. It was usual, later, that northern german churches had 2 doors. North for woman, south for man. 🙂
