Total score!! Talking to my neighbor while grabbing mail...found out they have a awesome weather station at their house. So now I have detailed information for the past three years for almost my yard. Views in current/day/week/month/year. highs, lows, ground temp, dew point, humidity, precipitation. The difference between the temp at my house & the nearest public weather station is 8 miles south. To compare public info on several sites temp right now 89*. Actual temp at my house 97*. Little difference! Especially when I'm watching lows to make the switch to the greenhouse or bring them onto the patio. Yay information.

hundred degrees with no wind. No beer on hand. Able to trim and hang some stuff today.

Finished up Nocturnal #1 and Overlord. Started onto a Chemdawg (HSO)--so stinky & resiny.
as well as the best of the grapefruit I grew this year and grabbed couple fatties off the BCS that's in a S.P.

Have another chem after this one.

More stuff finishing soon enough.

Yeah. Picked up a 6er of lil sumpin' sumpin' (7.5%) they raised the price of the lagunita ipa (6.2%abv), so a little more bang for the buck. Was going to grab flip side, but it was still hot and almost bought some modelo tall boys!! Dirty birding it...

Elijah Craig (straight) + double pour of strong bier (into a quart mason jar) = goodbye sunset & hello pork chop.

Butchering time. Here piggy piggy piggy.

It's either the crack of the beer top, or the crack of the whip this time of year.
Me - coffee and an hourly pipe hit during harvest.
I save the beer for afterwards to wind down and enjoy my one meal of the day.

Speaking of pork, my favorite BBQ meat.
Picture a couple of slabs of ribs.
2-3 day recipe.

Score rib insides, marinated in an apricot-habanero glaze overnight.
Then smoked over wild plum wood chunks for 6 hrs.
Re-glazed and refrigerated overnight again.
Next day fired on grill to carmelize the glaze, cut into pieces, wrapped in foil and slow cooked at 300F for 2 more hours with indirect heat.
Grab your beer-you'll be grinning ear to ear.

Hey HachBrew! I've enjoyed reading all your posts here! I'm so jealous of the Good Life you have!z :) Here in S FL. Maybe one day it will be legal to grow me something. I'm interested in your coffee as well. I have a iRoast2 which I used to use roast my own beans that I got from Sweet Maria's online. I've tried beans from almost all over the world. Need to get back to making my own again. Hope one day to get to travel out your way one of these day. Enjoy the freedom you have my friend!! If you have instagram, follow me at mia_reddog. Wishing you the best my friend!

I'm back. tell ya what 103*F weather without any wind movement for five days is SUPER FUN. especially when you're trying to cure. Honey probably wouldn't of liked all these plants hanging in our bedroom (window ac unit, only one). Everythings good. Put lots of stuff into jars without final trim, let them even out, and I'll catch up on them later.

Welcome Mia_reddog. No instagram for this guy = Facebook. no thank you.

Used to purchase from sweet maria's back when I got into coffee. Great beans come from lots of places, usually not fair trade*/**, too small/don't want their handwork dumped in with bunch of other nasty growers stuff.

*I don't like fair trade
**imagine hundred people grew a crop of marijuana, same strain/variety, but then when everything was done and harvested by each individual, all of it was thrown together for processing and then sold as one homogenous lot. See what I mean?

Find a shop that sources themselves or has micro lots of beans and make sure they have a happy roaster cranking out quality & consistent batches.

Growing anything yourself?

oh & then there's this:
Basil collecting seeds….Lots and lots of seeds

x2IFHFi.jpg

Figure 240 seeds per stem x lots of stems = metric shit ton. Going to plant a "lawn"of it and then use a mulching mower to make pesto....

or in reality just give them out to everyone and also cook with them. Great garnish on thai dishes! Larb & any noodle dish.

It's thai basil.

Back row, left to right= Nocturnal, ken’s kush (kinda blended in with tomatillo behind it) Ace of Spades, and Hash Plant

Front Row= 2 worm weeds & then 3 afgooey by the infamous ’strain’ “hunters"->weirdest plants I’ve grown. #2 (@ 4o’clock) was purple and runty for couple weeks. They were started week before the grapefruits pictured above.

He is one of the only people I almost tear up for when I think about him being gone. Was a great man with an amazing outlook on the world. Truly lost without him.

I was/am a early riser, even back in the snow days. School at 6am, out at 1pm, to work by 2 off around 1am. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Harvested last Grapefruit cola, besides seeded branch which is getting one more week to mature.

Harvested tops off the HSO 'Chemdawg' & took down the entirety of a Nocturnal. This Noc was on the fuel, spice deeper resiny side of smell whereas the other one that was harvested was a berry, sweet, fragrant aroma. Both will be exceptional combustibles.

All have been ripe since last week, but with the heat, thought it best to let em bask a little bit longer.

All cleaned up & hanging in the tent.

Worm weed and Black Cherry Soda (x4ea= 3 in-ground/1 10g SP) are starting to cloud up. BCS has 2-4 more weeks, top to bottom harvest on it. Worm weed...i don't know, it sprouted out of the bowels of a worm pile in winter time, figure it'll cut, trim, and jar itself when it's ready. haha ha.

Hazes 4 weeks for lemony pine-tree shaped one and 6 weeks for spicy-peppery tall-ass lady.

Then there's all the stuff that I'm starting in flower outside, 8-10 wks out.

December!!! can't wait to pop some more beans and flower out the Hash plants x Phantom cookies. As well as the other odds and ends that are floating around.
