H3ad goes Coco

Could be.. I'm running 50/50 tap and my tap is pretty strong( 180 ppm).. so im reducing it to about 60/40 to see if there's any notable changes. PH is always between 5.5 and 5.8 (let it go to 5.5 for the first day because it slowly rises in the res, which lasts about 3 waterings).

K issue being locked out? too much? locked out by other nutes?

It's odd because these issues creep on during flowering.. from veg to the very beginning of flowering everything looks pretty good

Think I should switch to straight RO? I would prefer this, even though it would cost alot more in water but I would know exactly what im mixing... then I would need to supplement calmag?

How to deal with deficiency, more bloom? what would cause lockout, over abundance of calmag?

are you adding cal/mag?

The best way to manage cal / mag in coco is by adjusting pH...

ph below 5.8 achieves higher Ca uptake and lower Mg uptake, thus you reduce the Ca stored in the coco and increases Mg. By using ph over 5.8, you achieve the inverse. Keeping the amounts of Ca and Mg balanced in the coco is the key to heving the best yields and avoiding problems.

Hi guys, i have some of there labels in my gallery, sorry don't know

how to get them on this. My taps like 388ppm ph 9.4 i went to r/o
and started having big probs. I found if i knocked up a new batch of feed with r/o and 80 ppm cal/mag or 100 ppm tap no probs luv it.

Yeah my tap is about the same. 330/340 ph 8.7 I went to RO also. The 6/9 mix was no good with the RO water. I thought about mixing my tap with RO, but I just added some magical and they seem to like it.

Hello h3ad how are you? I went to the store and copied the numbers from the bottle.

Flora micro-total N-5.0% (AN-1.5%, NN-3.5%)
P-1.3%
B-0.01%
Ca-1.4%

Flora bloom- P-5%
K-4%
Mg-3%
S-5%

Thanks for your knowlege and time H3ad.

Not trying to steal a a post. Head is righteous. Sooo.

I'm drinking this really good beer right now so bare with me.

Yo thund I'm using the 5ml to 10ml ratio also and it's the easiest fucking thing ever. (i hope I don't jinx anything by typing this)
My ladies look like this after about 2. weeks https://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?...m/ic/album.php?albumid=14603&pictureid=294807

Yeah check that out! all with Gh nutes. and coco w/perlite although I won't use the perlite next run so I can compost the used stuff.
Only thing I ran into was a little mag. def. which I think i took care of with multiple waterings a day. They seemed to really like that. Anyway on with the show. Thanks head for the inspiration to try some thing new.

QUESTION FOR HEAD AND OTHERS

QUESTION FOR HEAD AND OTHERS

IF using the 6/9 formula and supplementing CO2 levels up to 1500ppm would you say there is likely a need to up the amount of nutrient?
I have had success with this formula in the past, but since introducing CO2 i have noticed yellowing and lackluster growth?
Just trying to narrow things down a bit...

Just a guess...

Hey ira

No CO2 experience here.

It seems that if the CO2 supplementation increases transpiration rates,
then you may need to irrig more often to compensate for that increase.

But at the same formulation.

hey inreplyavalon, h3ad gave some guidance on CO2 in the following post, hope it helps:

Same ratio 10-20% less water... I'd give that a shot if the added CO2 makes them look hungry....

you should be able to click on the link to see the original context.
