grow house vs. home grow

as the title says, why are there no laws that differentiate between the 2? there no difference in a house that plants live in or is obviously for growing and a family home where dad grows a little of his own? that doesn't seem right to me. thanks for reading

some states in the US do have a differentiation. Something along the lines of maintaining a residence explicitly for the purpose of growing/processing versus something that serves as a dwelling as well. Can't think of the correct terminology at the moment.
