ShroomDr - PBPB Soil? I've been using GH's Flora Micro and Bloom for my base, I've been thinking about trying a PBP/GH side by side. I remember you working on your PBP formula a few years ago, I think I'll have to bookmark your post, that's some good info!
I have constant co2 at 1500ppm also, ya it is worth it quality wise. It's not like I started with 25 products. I have slowly added new products over a decade of growing.
Is it really worth it? B.Friendly... how much money do you feed your plants each grow? I just don't see how it could be worth it.
you guys tend to overdue it IMO.
what ever happened to KISS?
i personally been using gh flora 2part 6/9ml micro/bloom.

With each new product there is some benefit.
The key is to get your waterings to feedings down pat.
With the addition of FloraNectar and FloraBlend my resin/trichombes are much better. showing nearly 2x amber production, they looked like 8 weeks of flower at 6 weeks in.
If you have a 5 week veg then most products are worth it. If the veg is to short then most are pointless.
But i would recommend the full GH line in addition to the Flora series: http://www.genhydro.com/genhydro_US/plant_enhance.html
I'll give a tally of what was spent soon. If you have the light then most products make sense, not recommended for micro grows but I am under 5000w.
I also spent 2 years in full time Horticulture College, ie 20+ hours a week in a greenhouse over 4 semesters. Many products go into your vegetable production.
Plus everything I use is found naturally in nature's soil, which I am trying to optimize indoors.
I guess micro grows are under 1000wattsThanks for all the info!
I don't doubt the benefits of the complicated feeding program at all. What I'm mainly thinking about is what your cost per gram, and how it would differ from a basic program.
I fully agree, you can grow lots of stuff with the basic recipes, but to really push a plant you'll need more than that.
There have been a few products that I've seen endorsed by several experienced growers recently, with FloraNectar being one of them. (The other being Rhizotonic... neither of which my local store has. )
It's a figure I don't see being discussed very often, but one that I think is very important.
Yield / Total $ spent during the grow cycle (electricity+nutes+rent if applicable) = $ per gram
I don't question that it increases yield and quality, I just have always wondered what price you pay for it.
What do you consider micro grows?
Wow thats a long list! I have done the whole House & Garden line for a while. Should be called House $ Garden lol.I guess micro grows are under 1000watts
Rhizotonic is the liquid formula right. It is also similar to the GH Subculture's M & B, or at least one of them anyways. Check which is cheaper the GH or Rhiz product. Rhizotonic is a great root stimulator. for roots I also use Roots Excellerator and Superthrive.
ok lets do a tally on what I spend(been avoiding this lol):
H2O2 $5
GH Rare Earth $10
GH Flora Grow $5
GH Micro/ Bloom $50
GH Floralicious plus $35
GH FloraBlend $20
GH FloraNectar $20
GH Diam. Nectar $20
GH SubcultureM&B $100
GH Liq. KoolBloom $50
GH KoolBloom $15
GN Flora Kleen $20
Western B1 $25
Micro Nutrients $10
CalMg Solution $25
Epsom salts $5
Hygrozyme $35
Superthrive $25
Roots Excelurator $100
Jumbo Green $10
Bat Guano $30
black strap molasses $20
DM Penetrator $30
DM Foliar Spray $30
Total $665 per crop (probally $100 give or take)
plus $200 for co2
get 6lbs x 16 x 28 = 2688 grams / $865 = 3g's per dollar spent
plus HYDRO $1200 therefore: 2688 / $1865 = 1.44g's per dollar spent
