I had the cut before the cup, so I thank you.
My friends that are running 1-2 trays each of the ht cut, might not feel the same way.. This non htcut is the same age. Nobody should be mad at you,I'm sure Johnny Appleseed had some friends spreading rotten apples also..View Image

Not sure what to say other than my HT cuts are jamming !

All clones rooted very fast and the vigor I am experiencing is above par...

This is a lower that got cut tonight...

So, in my eyes Sunset didn't pass anything rotten....sorry to see such a backlash.....

Ya I think I have said it before, but just to reiterate I am absolutely positive there were at least a couple broad mites and probably other varieties of grower AIDS at the cup. It's your own responsibility to keep your shit clean.

I think it's a bit more than hilarious sunset is being blamed for passing duds when not a few months ago he was spearheading the internet ousting of a dud clone vendor.. Lol.. If you really wanted a fresh, vigorous cutting of anything you should be finding your own phenos.... My Gg came second hand from sunset a good 8+ months ago and kicks ASS in veg but still pales in comparison for vigor and health to my own selections I've made from seed since then.

I got 3 cuts from the cup and they are definitely on the road to being a full on DUD.. I have yet to flower them but even in veg they exhibit the classic signs of duding.. Not much stretch, very close internodes, Vegs very slow, some rooting issues (opposite of a healthy glue cut)... The original cuts i got took over a month to grow enough to take cuts.. The clones rooted in about 10 days but they are vegging very slow, now that others are having the same problem this confirms its not an isolated issue......

The thing is you will not know you have duds until you're about half way in bloom, the plants in early bloom and veg can look perfectly healthy and you won't know until you're deep in bloom unless you keep a close eye at minute details during veg.. The plants can produce trichs but will not be sticky & the lack of oils is a major red flag... The'll have minimal smell and the damage will continue to progress if not treated with systemics.. Also outdoor plants will show less signs of the damage on infected plants, it looks like sun/nature counteracts the symptoms to some degree so plants outdoors perform much better then infected plants done indoors.

The only good news about this situation is I have yet to find living broads when scoping and I've been keeping them away from my moms.

Anyway enough with the dud talk, just wanted to share this bit of info to help others that might not be aware..

Peace!

I will admit I still have a whole lot to learn but i know the difference between a healthy and sick plant and the cuts I got from the cup were sick and no it wasn't something I picked up walking around. At first I thought it was broad mites but after that was ruled out and the Oregon guys began to chime in I treated them as if they had fusarium and each successive generation has out-shined the last. Doesn't even look remotely like the same plant.

I'm not going to hate on Sunset though because it is entirely possible to have a mother with such an affliction for a very long time without knowing it. Especially so in a clone producing environment. He has also reached out to me in an attempt to correct the situation which I respect

Skeezo o's a perfect name for you.
And again....
I really don't think it's a dud.
I be said it 3 times now.
I took clones too early an stunted the MOTHER.
The babies are fine.
Then the mother was in too large a pot an I think has been getting too much water. Maybe a Lil lockout has occurred from under developed toots in to big a pot and a salt build up.

Unfortunately I have a cup clone that exhibits all of these afomentioned negative traits. I knew there was a problem when the clone put off zero smell. She was somewhat vigorous but no smell on a stem rub whatsoever. Not necessarily brittle stems but nowhere near fleshy. Extremely difficult to root. Small leaves. Who knows what the culprit is but it's certainly something more than environmental adjustment

Hopefully we can figure this out in a positive constructive educational manner

You got no real idea what your talking about.
I sold 1... count it 1 cut.
To one person in the OC.
He was the first person I texted when all this dud talk started.
Not that it's any of your business but yea I sold a cut. I had rent to pay no harvest and a kid who likes to kinda eat. After that I continued to speak with him thought we were kinda friends we've had quite a few long conversations actually an I have been hoping for his success the whole way.
And again....

An by the way the first thing I told him was I wil make it right.
So how about you mind your own business cause mine is taken care of. I'm not an have never ripped anyone off I'm an honest person an your accusations are bullshit.

<<<< NO NO NO >>>>>>..as long as your cuts were good!.

The cuts I recieved from JW are solid, fast growing cuts.
I just filled my cloner, and am filling my whole room with GG4$.
Got 4x GG4$ mother plants getting ready to go outside on the 10th.

My glue cut I received(thanks buddy) don't think naming the person in open forum is a good Idea but hey to each there own but anyways my glue momma has been nothing but spectacular. I have pulled 12 cuts and I am down to about 5 after spreading the love I can still take about another 50 to 100 cuts from her easy. She vegs like a beast clones in under 7 days in a aero cloner and if I leave her in cloner after she has busted roots the roots in 2 days are at the bottom of the cloner.

The only thing I have noticed that I have been tossing is the clones that root and look like walking stick bugs. Lol. That's what they remind me off because they have such internode gapping as a cut I wouldn't want to take it to flower or let along veg them any longer than I have to. This is rare but for some reasons every once in a while I get a cut that has that long as spacing right after it roots.

I'm already seeing the problem....people are RUSHING to take cuts... and pushing the plant to far....when U take cuts from a already stressed female... and rush those cuts too root....
U are never allowing the plant to shift its genetic's and mature to the level of strength needed to produce topnotch cuts.... several cuts later.... U know have inferior cuts that have never matured floating all around.... thus not representing the original mature cut....

well that and all the unnecessary DRAMA

I agree 110%. The quicker this problem is addressed the quicker the drama goes away. Ignoring what is obviously becoming an increasingly bigger problem is only going to unjustly tarnish the glue's rep.

Having a sick mother in circulation is not a knock on Joesy or the Glue in any way, shape, or form. Heck, I'm not even mad at the person I got the sick cuts from. I've been around long enough to know how things run and that mistakes happen. What does bother me though and bothers me a lot is the continual dismissal of anyone who expresses a problem. With the number of people coming forward with problems with 1 strain and only 1 strain then it's obvious something happened. Either something happened with the cuts at the show or the Glue isn't the cut it's being made out to be. Pretty sure it's the former

The cut I received last year sometime came in kinda rough shape.

I rooted them and vegged them out and noticed they were VERY side shoot dominant, wouldn't grow vertically very well, same story when I flipped the lights. They bushed out but didn't stretch much and didn't really enjoy my setup.

I took my time on these last clones, making sure they had good root mass and not too much "tangle" with side shoots underneath. Perhaps, even, the epigenetics started acclimating to my regimen, as my new GG plants, from the same original clone I was gifted mind you, are much nicer and pushing up several strong apicles--in stark contrast to my first round of plants.

When I heard about sour dubs tendency to dud, I thought it was epigenetics all the way. Everyone should look into epi's, it truly is fascinating. I believe the problematic traits can actually be grown out...Here is a quick story that would explain the relevancy. Basically, plants have small genetic markers that allow them to change and adapt quickly based on their environment without the lengthy time constraints associated with true DNA changes.

I believe I've noticed the same "acclimation" happens, at least for me, when I get a mother from a local grower in some uncooked super soil or other poorly done organic mess (very common 'round these parts). The clones start out deformed and super slow growing for a while until they "get used" to the coco regimen I use.

I'm no scientist, this is just just what I've noticed over years of trades and cloning. I'm also not complaining (very happy and thankful to have the cut), just stating I think there is a very good reason these things are happening, and that it does not mean you need to get a new cut to fix it.
