That is an absolute waste of your time. Pelletized lime disperses better and takes very little time for the clay to "melt". Get the right amount, add it and forget it. I learned that right here on this board, after someone proved me wrong.
I still crush mine because the pellets swell up to marble size. Maybe this is fine for the root environment but it looks weird.

hi cc it's certainly possible to do this (presuming you root them under 24/0 or 16/8 but imo you would be better to veg them even if only for a week. people may disagree with me but i think you will get a better yield and potency. NL isnt very stretchy anyway so you may find you have room to veg them a little.
