Not much to write here today. I just put the beans inn the paper towel this morning. Twelve seeds in total. In time we will see how many crack open. Sfee were white but stripped and the other were normal looking
24 hours later one more popped. Now we are at 50% germination rate. 3 out of first 5 popped out of the coco.
Let's talk about veg set up. During veg we will have a 4' 8 bulb t5 with 5 blue and 3 red bulbs. The media of choice is tupur with heavy 16 nutes. Just the base A and B and their foliar if necessary. Twice a week they will get a osa28 foliar. Foliar won't start until later.
I'm going to try to update every two or three days.
It's been eight days since germination started. We are still sitting at 50% germination rate. Every other day the ones that didn't crack get a fresh paper towel. The ones that did germinate are doing great.
Things are still looking good and these seedlings are loving life right now. Tonight they got their first dose of some food. .5ml of A and B heavy16 grow. Until now the coco has been staying moist from a couple sprays of 5.8- 6.0ph water and yesterday they got a foliar of 1ml per quart of osa28
Things are moving along. I upped the nutes to 2.25ml a gallon today plus a osa foliar. GT1 got knocked over today in the process. Hopefully it will just be stunted and not die on me. GT1 and GT4 are the most vigorous ones. GT6 is a few days behind because she cracked last. Starting from the font left is GT1,GT2, GT3, GT4 back row GT5 and GT6. Fingers crossed for GT1
Since my last update I have slowly increased food up to 3ml a gallon. Most likely we will stay at that amount for a while. These are hungry little buggers. Tonight will be a osa foliar night.
I switched camera angles and from left to right starting from the back row we have GT4, GT3, GT2, GT1. front row GT6 & GT5. Everything except GT6 is working on their 3 set leaves. GT6 has some odd growth and only half of the second set of leaves grew. Hopefully in about 6 more weeks they will be ready to flower
Today I had to start feeding daily. Dose was lowered to 2.7ml. The GT6 is the odd ball. It's been asymmetrical since the start. Some individual pictures today. Pictures are in order GT1- 6
It's transplant day. These solo cups were getting just too small for these little ones. We went from solo cups to nc#1 plastic pots. Yesterday they got a nice foliar of heavy 16 foliar with osa28. While I slowly build up the buffer these babies will get 2ml gallon of heavy grow a and b. If they need some extra a foliar will be applied here and there. As of now these babies are on the verge of nutrient toxicity. They have very slight tip burn, some purple in the stems, and the leaves are getting hard and rough. They are not soft and velvety like I like them to be. A few are showing sex but I will give them a week or two to start confirming everything. As far as stem rub goes none of these really stink. They all just have that subtle plant smell. No skunky smells what so ever. Now time for some roots open starting in order from GT1- GT6
