Just in case you thought getting arrested, spending a few hours in a cell, going to court and spending some time on probation or in jail was enough. Well think again. There are permanent life time effects for getting busted.
A while ago I applied for health insurance. I made the mistake of telling them my last physical was in prison. Then they had to ask what for etc etc. Long story short I got declined coverage because of my possession charge. And yes I contacted an attorney and he told me there was nothing I could do.
Now we have a business and cant bid on certain govt jobs, etc etc. Also SEC 8 has (or had) a policy on allowing landlords with criminal pasts
So just a reminder what the long term effects are.
Getting busted, puts you in a hole that makes it harder and harder to dig yourself out of.
