I ditched mine too.
Awhile ago I was following a mate off a fair sized mounatin bike jump, when his moblie started ringing, distracting him and causing him to miss the downramp, cartwheel off an embankment and end upside down in a ditch, with a hilarious wtf expression on his face.
Got a message bank on my home phone and that's fine.
