thekingofNY "yanked out" I've seen the surgery on film not mine but a similar one. Once they cut you open it amounts to pushing the nerves out of the way & than yanking it out with pliers. I was up & out for a cigarette within an hour of waking up. I don't smoke anymore.

do they knock u out for said procedure? Do you know if it can work on all discs or just certain ones; like lower back?? what sort of doc did u see? i saw a neurologist, and he just wanted to do regular old surgery on it (my neck)... bastard, I know he does surgery's like 3 days a week as his secretary told me, so he probably tells that to everyone.

Yes I was knocked out & than had some Demerol (my personal Favourite) for afters. The methods keep improving & this was many years ago so I can't say what's the way to go for you. I had the MRI & the ink fill which you can view yourself on the monitor. Up here a family physician refers you to a specialist who you than see on a regular basis. It was taking a while to heal, I was limping around & I had to make a decision to do it or not. I needed to get back to my business or go on welfare so that's why I went the route I took. If I hadn't had my business I would have waited. Try everything else before surgery.

congradulations on still be'in in business? mind saying what you do, or is it too personal/specific? I don't own my own business, however I do have a job I love. I am actually allergic to Demerol, only drug allergy i have I think...

I am bumping this thread, because well, FUCK This week already too! lol, see my post about my damn truck... i swear if its not one thing, its another!

Hey its a new week, you should make a 'God Bless this week!' thread. I think U jinxed me last week man.... I missed class, crashed my car, forgot to pay my phonebill, ran outa money and broke my ankle. Dont FUCK THIS WEEK this week....cant take anymore...
