i must assume if you're the legal owner of the car the cops can just as easily have On-Star turn your car off remotely. That's just wrong.
seriously dude. Scary stuff.yea........not touching any cars with onstar.............though it'll probably become some sort of mandatory safety feature in all cars within 5-10 years........

oh nice!Damn! That shit is scary. GPS location should be all they need to recover a stolen car and even that is some scary technology!
Fortunately, as it stands now, this service can be permanently disabled instantly. I recommend anyone who has OnStar do it. From the OnStar TOU:
"If you don’t want Stolen Vehicle Slowdown capability on your Car, you must contact OnStar by pressing the blue OnStar button in your Car and request that this capability be disabled. If you choose to disable this capability, it will not be available under any circumstances and can only be re-enabled at an authorized car dealership at your expense."
Thanks for the heads-up h^2 O!

I know one copper that wished he had it on his death ride with his family. What a dope, they believe the floor mat caused them to go into hyper speed with no brakes & dopey calls 911 instead of putting the car in neutral. Do 911 operators have more brains than the cops?? Apparently not the one he spoke to. Killing the engine would leave them without power brakes or steering, that could be just as dangerous. He wiped out at an intersection killing himself & his family members.
