I am using the happy frog, and right away I started getting calcium deficiencies. Checking out this post and seeing that the main difference here was the tap water. the Ph'd tap water is the key to unlocking the happy frog, without the calcium in the tap water, the plants will suffer. I have been using RO and discovered that, I have had to use cal-mag+ to compensate, and I added some ff grow big. I want to try to mix the happy frog with the ocean forrest but i feel like theres not enough in these soils to get monster buds you are the only one ive seen using only this soil and get this result.

It's still very possible to get deficiencies, some genetics are more demanding then others and may require supplementation.
That's all pretty common place though, gotta work out the kinks ya know?
I think the key to keeping everything healthy is the timing of the transplant.
That way you can introduce the root zone to fresh, recharged soil.
A little bit of water and nature does it's thing!
(That's way over-simplified but I'm sure you get the idea)

Just too lazy to take lights-off photos while they're in veg lol.

can't help from keeping coming back to this thread. Is that Sour Diesel x Fire OG Kush?
Also do the LED's generate enough heat to require fans? and how are the yields? Thanks!

Thanks man just trying to show some love to the plants, share my passion.
Most smaller panels are built the same and dissipate heat pretty well. (I still use fans though, always)
Better brands use better cooling designs and materials.
I don't even think about yields tbh, just not my style I guess.
I'll say that LEDs spread light differently and you have to understand how to use them properly to get the most efficiency out of them.
They don't spread like a traditional HID, they have more of a beam-like footprint.
So they won't cover near as much ground as an HID, but can concentrate more light on a smaller size area.
Thus providing much more direct penetration, it's all a matter of preference though.
They all grow lovely plants <3
Yield is so subjective, to genetics, cultivation style, I personally just grow everything lol.
If I come across a good yielding strain or individual plant I'm just more thankful.
