I had thought about a dryer with a filter and air exchange, but figured that a closed air system works just fine, so I am happy with mine
(During summer months it needs a bit of desiccant on the bottom to remove the moisture, but in the wintertime - it is perfectly dry in 3 days, so yeah, I would advise anyone to build something similar to mine.
I would think this was an overkill to use, but it you will - there is always CaCl on hand which attracts moisture. It is also used as premium snowmelt. Just don't overdry! CaCl is very powerful
