Just a thought if you have continuing issues...
I sometimes pop the beans in Jiffies that have been hydrated with weak nutrients and pot them once the root emerges. This way there are no bugs and it's easier to fit them in a humidity dome if required. I had a few stall in soil and it turned out there was something gnawing on the roots.
The icebox method consistently works well. Fill it about 1/4 with water heated by an aquarium heater and the jiffies float in a plastic container without a lid. Keep the icebox closed until you see some activity then you can leave it open until you see a tap root then pot :)

Thanks! I'll keep this in mind if it's a continued issue.

When I have an issue with the cotyledons interfering with the true leaves I usually cut them depending on the direction of twist versus the direction of the light source.

In your case I would just lop the top cotyledon.

Cool thread, cool name! I have had a few strains exhibit growth similar to that Panama, both that did it, I almost gave up on, but both became my two favorite strains. They've also not had the same issue when cloned. I try to run everything that pops, if it doesn't make it naturally then oh well, but I can't stand not knowing.
I'm with you: What if the runt ends up being the killer expression? And like I said above, everything deserves the right to a good attempt at life. I'm in no hurry (though I'm excited, which makes me a bit impatient).

Topped and began training the GG #4 mother:

Decided to try to make the world's smallest clone off the top that I cut off. Dunno if it'll grow, but why not see?:

And I'd love some feedback. I got the GG #4 and the MN Tangie at the same time (8/1) and treated them the same, but the MN Tangie really hasn't grown much:

Should I just go ahead and transplant? Continue to wait? Sing campfire songs to it?

I spoke with the guy who gave me the MN Tangie about the lack of growth, and he recommended that I transplant. So I did just that, into a 1 gallon container. There was 1 root coming out the bottom today, which was a good sign. I felt like I disturbed the roots a lot in the transplant process. Hope they bounce back. If the plant doesn't make progress, I'll grab a new clone in a couple of weeks.

Question, do you have a good method for getting ceilings to grow bacon quick inside a lil beer cups. I have 5 ceedlings and they're growing slow as Christmas comes around.
